AcuRite Wireless Indoor Outdoor Temperature and Humidity Sensor with A-B-C Switch (06002M / 592TXR)

It replaces the one that came with the indoor/outdoor thermometer. It's my second replacement; they last a few years. The reading is within a degree of the mercury thermometer I also have outside. If you like your Accurite system, replace the sending unit. I'd note that you can get a simple system (indoor unit and sending unit) for only a couple of dollars more than the sending unit itself. That might be a consideration if your present indoor unit is more than you need, or larger than you like.

Install batteries works good Indoors I already had one for the kitchen temperature now I have one for the bathroom temperature when I get one more for the outside temperature very important to my pipes don't freeze and I can adjust my air-conditioning appropriately, I also use it to monitor my heat and my heaters.

Ordered and diy install was easy/no problem. Remote device works as advertised. Hoping to get 4 year longevity from replaced unit. Would use vendor and product again.

I have an AcuRite Weather station and have been able to keep the outside monitor going over 10 years even with occasional wetting...Recently a greater than 80mph wind storm drove rain and sleet onto the unit over a couple days and I just wasn't able to revive it! Soooo, ordered a replacement, received promptly and got it working immediately... Back in Business!!!

The original sensor would no longer work and I thought I would need to buy an entire unit but this was the best option for me. Just check the A B C settings on the sensor and the display, install new batteries and within minutes the two are communicating!

What was being replaced is the outdoor sensor for a wireless indoor-outdoor thermometer. The base station (indoor) has been in use for about 20 years, but the outdoor sensor needs to be replaced periodically. This was the second replacement of the first replacement that didn't hold up that long....hope this second replacement lasts as long as the original sensor.

Have you heard it is easier to deal with a consistent PIA than an inconsistent one. If it's consistent you knowhow to fix it. My transmitter is inconsistent being off by as much as ten degrees some days when compared to three red dye thermometers in my yard. Some days spot on others off to way off. Sad.

I love the idea. But the sensors didn't read the right temperature. And I couldn't get both sensors to work at the same time. worked fine with only sensor except for the wrong temperature reading. I don't know ? the Package had been open and then taped shut. I'm sure something was defected.
