This is so good for restoring bed rails, bumper trim and even plastic fender flares! My brother also used it on the rubber for his mud flaps. Lasts long and doesn't bleed if applied and left dry for 24hrs. Recommend to everyone!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was easy and immediately I could see the product working! Awesome!
Just used this stuff for first time today. A little goes a long, long way. A few drops at a time on the end of microfiber applicator is enoug. Applied this to the windshield cowling, wiper anrms, and the rubber air dam on my C5 Corvette. They went from milky charcoal gray to inky black. I've never seen any trim restoration product do that. Next question is how long this lasts. Even if it's just a few months, reapplication for both is a 10-minute job, total.
This is my first Adam's product, I purchased this along with graphine detail spray and I'm impressed with both but, the trim restorer really stands out. My wife has a 2013 explorer with lots of faded gray plastic. I've used other “black restoring” products in the past and they can look for for about 30 seconds, as soon as they start to dry it's like they were never there. This is completely different. The second it touches the plastic it makes it look like you've installed a new trim piece. I also like that it does try to add shine, it just makes it black again. I can't comment on longevity at this point but for application and results this stuff is outstanding.
Finally, a product that works! If you've used other trim restorers before, forget about them. They are not even in the same league as this stuff. Works instantly to take faded gray trim right back to a polished factory look. The only downside is the dry time, if you rub against it before it's dry it'll stain you too! Otherwise this is the perfect solution.
This Black trim restorer does just what the name says. It really brings back the rich black color on dull oxidized faded trim pieces. It really looks great!!! I mask off the paint or other areas I don't want to get the restorer on although it does wipe off if you do it right away. Great stuff like all Adam's products!
I experimented with the product before actual application.... I quickly learned it did not take much to do the job.... Worked great - have to let time pass to see how long it will last.
I've used this on S197 Mustang lower trim, Hummer H3 trim and a Chevy Avalanche. Avalanche customer was more excited about the trim than their paint correction. Made a huge difference and was easy to apply.
Got rid of my cloudy faded plastics making them deep black and lasting doesn't wash off like most trim dressings would
It worked well on mildly faded plastics but it didn't work at all on heavily faded running-board plastic inserts. I've had great experience with other Adam's products but unfortunately, this didn't work in this case.
