I love this mitt. But I also have been seeing influencer detailers using a clay mitt to clay their car with after the initial wash. Can I use my Adam's mitt to do the same?
We used this clay mitt on a black Porsche 911 before polishing the car (with Adam's products) and it worked great. If you slide your hand across the surface before and after the clay, you can notice the difference!
I use the clay mitt during the washing process - once the car is soaped, wash mitted and rinsed (basically clean, but still wet), I re-apply soap with the foam cannon and use the soap as a lubricant for the clay mitt. Once you're done claying, give the vehicle a final rinse and dry and you're ready to compound/polish. Don't forget to use it on glass, too, especially the windshield. Rinse the mitt thoroughly when done and let it dry - save the clamshell container and use it store the Clay Mitt.
Product seemed to work pretty well. I have never used a clay bar before to truly give a good comparison, but the paint felt smoother after using this. You can feel all the gritty on the paint when you first use this but after a few passes, it feels smooth. Very easy to use, and works well.
this has to be one of the easiest ways to deacon your vehicles paint. its enough clay power to take the impurities off the paint but not enough to create any real marring /scratching. I foam the vehicle with thick mega foam suds and use the foam as my lubricant. You do not want to rub hard but more let your hand glide over the paint and pick up any contaminants that are on it. best part of the clay mit is if you drop it you can wash it off and keep going unlike a clay bar you would have to throw out. i highly recommend this for anyone looking for a convenient quick way to deacon their vehicles paint.
I tried this for the first time the other day with Adam's Iron Remover. Seems to work great! My first time using clay for anything and like how this slips over your hand easily. It helped remove some tar and road grime.
Works good for cleaning light paint contaminants. Doesn't mare the paint causing you to have to polish it to remove swirls and scratches. Can be used with soap and or detail spray which is nice.
Used the clay mitt to detail my vehicle's exterior after a Chicago winter. I liked the results, prefer the mitt to the standard clay bar easier to handle.
Used on my son's truck that if it is lucky gets an annual wash. Worked wonders, removed a decade of embedded contaminants. Highly recommend.
Extremely convenient and works wonders if you clay regularly. If it's been a while, or it's your first time with clay, I'd recommend starting with the clay block for the first go round. I would use this afterwards as the seasons change. When used on light to moderately contaminated vehicles, I got about 5-6 uses before the effectiveness started to wane.
