Adaptive Sound Technologies Sound + Sleep, White Noise Machine, Black

I love all the options on this machine. 10 different sounds with 3 options for each sound. I really wanted something that would play sound all night long instead of being on a timer. This fit the bill with various times of play plus the all night option. I'm very satisified with this product and sleeping better and longer uninterrupted.

Cannot speak highly enough about this machine -- the quality of the sound is outstanding, meaning the speaker and the variety of natural sounds to choose from (we've enjoyed white noice, ocean and brook so far.) It's also very nice looking and easy to use (the timer is easy to set, as are the choice of sounds -- and it looks great on our dresser.) My husband and I use it when we are reading, or napping, or going to sleep -- we've tried all the other name brands, and this one is by far the best. So happy we found it at Walmart!

This sound machine works great for me. My job requires me to work a rotating swing shift, days & nights every 2 weeks. I prefer some background noise to help me sleep & relax, and this machine is just perfect. Before I bought this, I kept the ceiling fan running for noise, but now it's winter & I don't need that on. I like the raining sound the best. When I work nights, I struggled to get 4-5 hours of sleep, this helps me get 6-7 hours.

I'M A VERY LIGHT SLEEPER, CONSEQUENTLY I'D WAKE UP MANY TIMES DURING THE NIGHT AT THE SLIGHTEST SOUND. AFTER I PURCHASED THE SOUND+SLEEP SOUND MACHINE, I SLEEP SO MUCH BETTER AND HARDLY EVER AWAKEN DURING THE NIGHT. THERE ARE TEN SETTINGS FEATURING DIFFERENT SOUNDS. I PARTICULLARLY LIKE THE RAIN, WATERFALL AND TRAIN SOUNDS. THE SOUND QUALITY IS GOOD, THE MACHINE IS LIGHT AND THE ADAPTIVE FEATURE ALLOWS ADJUSTMENT TO LOUDER IF THERE IS A NOISE IN THE ROOM. THERE IS A SMALL LIGHT THAT I LIKE THAT KIND OF SERVES AS A NIGHT LIGHT. MY DAUGHTER PURCHASED THIS MACHINE AFTER I TOLD HER HOW IT LULLS ME TO SLEEP. SHE TURNS IT ON WHEN MY 2 1/2 YEAR OLD GRANDSON GOES TO BED AND HE FALLS ASLEEP QUICKLY AND SLEEPS LONGER

Happy with the sound machine..many sounds to choose from,sound is great, options for combining programs. I have tried cheaper ones with no satisfaction. Have a real problem with insomnia, this, combined with relaxation techniques, seems to be helping a bit. Not a magic cure ,tho..

This machine has a nice variety of background sounds and I am still trying them out to see which ones I like the best. I definitely get to sleep a lot quicker now than I used to and I leave it it on all night so it tends to mask any noises that may otherwise have started to wake me up so I am waking up feeling much more rested as well.

This machine was a replacement for a less expensive machine with poor sound quality. Not only is the quality of the sound much better, it also has more features that help insure it accomplishes what I need it to do. The feature that is most worth the higher cost is the "richness" feature. It add "character to the soundstory" so that it is not a repetitive string of sounds which is something bothered me with the other machine. I noticed the repetition with the other machine and it kept me from relaxing. Counterproductive, wouldn't you say. While this sound machine is rather large on my nightstand, it is attractively designed.

Out of the box this is very easy to set up and use. The sound quality is much better than any other sleep therapy machine I've ever had. I like the option for "richness" which allows you to select the detail in a particular sound, for instance take out the annoying bird noises in most Ocean sounds. I also like the fact that it has the option to stay on for the entire night; most others only give the option 30/60/90 minute intervals. Another interesting feature is that it is able to automatically increase or decrease the sound level to the background noise in your room as you sleep.

it would be nice to have a remote control. Otherwise my wife and I are quite pleased with this device. Even though the neighbors have been quiter, we feel that our sleep has been more sound and with more depth. I have a tendency to have occasional insomnia, and I think the soothing sounds just help to me relax and cut off my head. We like it very much. Patt and Alondra, CA

I purchased one 3 years ago...it lasted 3 months. I sent it back and the company sent me a new one. That one lasted 1 year. At this price point this should last a lot longer. I took it apart ther is nothing that should break on this thing. It is a simple circuit board. Keep in mind it was never moved. It sat on a high shelf and only turned on and off.... One day I unplugged it to move it and it would not turn on again... Look online you will see many people with the same issue.
