Upon detecting movement, I received prompt notifications along with a 10-second video directly to my phone. The video quality is excellent during the day, and even at night, it switches to black and white at a slightly lower resolution but remains clear. The app controls allow for smooth movement of the camera in all directions with minimal to no delay. Additionally, the microphone provides clear audio when listening to someone speak, and the speaker produces loud volume for clear communication through the app. Overall, I'm highly satisfied with the performance of this camera.

Star rating is based on features at this price point. Bought this to replace a fixed camera on our carport, I have a few different cameras around the house and I compared the W7 to it. The shipping material is sufficient to protect the camera, and the camera comes with everything needed for mounting into a customer-supplied eight-sided electrical box. I also added an electrical box extension spacer to allow the required USB charger that comes with the camera to fit inside the electrical box. App installation and camera configuration are very simple and straightforward. The instructions are adequate, but be prepared to use your camera to take advantage of all its features. Video quality is very good, and night vision is normal black and white, but there's the option to light up the scene for nighttime color viewing. The motion controls are smooth and allow you to set several favorite pointing and height positions. Unlike some other cameras, the W7 can stream live video to multiple viewers at once, but there are some limitations... You will need to set up backup viewers in Invite Family (without a Protection Plan, you can have up to 3 Viewers) option. Note that currently some historical viewing limits apply to these additional viewers, but they can see the same live video that the camera owner sees. As I said, other offers Vendors seem to have trouble handling multiple video streams, so this camera beats them. It's easier and better to view triggered recording events than on higher-priced cameras with forward and backward search controls on the screen. The camera requires a 2.4GHz router connection, which is normal for most devices of this type. Support is very positive and helpful. I had a few questions about multi-user viewing, and the support person I dealt with was very dedicated to making sure my questions were answered multiple times in just a few hours. CONS - The cameras only support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, making them susceptible to signal interference from devices like baby monitors, radios, and microwaves. - The power wire is exposed along the backside, and it would be advantageous if the mounting plate featured a channel or groove to conceal the cable behind the camera and through a wall, providing better protection against tampering. - Occasionally, the quad view feature in the app experiences lag and unreliability. While refreshing the quad view may resolve the issue, certain cameras often take a while to load or fail to connect altogether. However, viewing cameras individually consistently works as intended. This issue may be related to the software app. - The recorded audio quality is subpar. While vehicle sounds and other noises like barking are discernible, it's challenging to hear clear conversations even when standing close to the camera.
