Cheaper brand

Baby June 13, 2026

Different flea collar. Probably ok for the price. It keeps coming off my dog neck. As far as protection, I've only had it a few days. But if it holds up for the amount of time it's suppose, I ll get the more expensive one I usually gets it works great. No problem.

Really hard to get on a uncooperative Dog. Soft rubber. Was expecting a stiffer collar. Waiting to see if it irritates his skin, even though it's on over his fur.

Check for Rash

Anonymous April 29, 2026

Collar started working hours after placing around my Jack Russell neck. Followed instructions 2 fingers loose around collar. I was pulling an average of 5 ticks daily from him before the collar. After the collar was on him no ticks for several days. After about 3 days I checked around his neck and noticed a nasty rash Immediately.removed the collar wash with mild soap and I see the rash is going away. I don’t know if I will try again. It does prevent ticks though!

The collars

I normally use the liquid form of Advantage which is really good !! Unfortunately the collar gave my 9 month old puppy diarrhea, Now my older dog a Rottweiler (7 years old ) he seems to be fine with no side effects moving forward I think I will stick with what I know to work and doesn't cause side effects

$5k in Vet Bills

Jessica May 12, 2026

I can't recommend this product. Our dogs have worn flea/tick collars previously with no issue, but we tried this collar and within 2 weeks of putting it on, our 3yr old mix broke the collar off and ate it. He quickly developed seizures and violent tremors and couldn't walk; he also vomited most of the collar back up. We took him to the emergency vet, he had to be sedated, given multiple treatments, and kept overnight. Both poison control and the neurologist said that his symptoms were way worse than what they'd expect from these collars. All Elanco provided was a "we're sorry that happened." I understand these aren't meant to be ingested, but they don't tell you how devastating they can be if eaten. If there is ANY chance your dog could get the collar off, please don't use these.

This collar was terrible. It seemed like more fleas were actually biting him and this was after I spent the house cleaning for three days in a row just to make sure I got the underlining problem. The fleas seemingly came out of nowhere and were in abundance even more so for the 3 days he wore the collar. So I clean the house, sprinkle diatomaceous earth everywhere inside, front porch and downstairs garage/basement area, sprayed peppermint essential oil along with spraying Adam's flea and tick spray indoor and I did this for over the course of 7 days. This was after I noticed the flea collar wasn't working, like at all. I also understand that when a collar is working that the fleas become a little more noticeable because they are dying and flailing around making it seem like they're still around or have increased in amount. So cleaned 3 days before, got collar, cleaned house and bathed him the 3 days he was wearing the collar, noticed he was getting bitten even worse/more at that point, removed collar, bathed him everyday, whilst doing the flea crusade with bathing, diatomaceous, essential oils, Adam's flea and tick and then finally was able to get new meds for him 5 days in and by day 7 they are were becoming a distant memory. No thanks to advantage flea collar.

i was shocked how bad this collar was. i have used the advantix drops for years an had no problems but with everything so expensive an im buying for my 4 dogs an my sons dog i decided to try the collar. i left it on them for several days but i was picking fleas off constantly. i went back to the drops an the problems so much better. I dont recommend this collar.

Don't waste your money

BRIAN June 10, 2026

Never killed any fleas. For the first 2-3 days, they were lethargic enough to catch and kill them but after that it was back to normal for them. I have yet to see any ticks but I have never seen any ticks on any of my dogs, before or after I put the collar on them. In my opinion, this was a complete waste of money and I had to buy 4 of them (One for each dog)😭

Do NOT buy for small dog. Put our mini pin into trimors and a chemical burn around her neck. Collar was only on for a few hours. It might kill fleas and your dog.

This product did not work at all. It left a irritated red mark all around his neck. I will not purchase this collar again. I do not recommend this product.
