I have pretty much tried everything for my cat; collars, spray, drops, you name it and I have tried it. I recently acquired a new kitten and she imediatly got fleas and they became worse on my older cat so after some research I decided to spend a little extra money and buy advantage. After putting the drops on them and waiting 12hours I used a flea comb on both of them and found NOTHING. I was so surprised! However I do recomend continuing to spray, bomb, and really wash carpets, floors, and furniture for the first month because fleas can live in your house with no blood for a month. Dawn dishsoap and citrus cleaner are really effective because fleas are attracted to them and it kills them almost instantly.
After a dismal experience with the MUCH cheaper store brand (why didn't someone my age think about the fact that you get what you pay for?) where my entire 5 cat household became flea infested, my vet recommended this product. It works just as well, if not better, than what they sell, Revolution & Frontline Plus. And, it makes a dosage just for my two, little, 5 lb kitties. The killing of the fleas was almost immediate. They were all flea free within a day & obviously happier as well. It only took two weeks for their scabs to disappear & one of the little cats who is allergic to flea bites & had lost fur improved almost immediately. It is good to see her bald patches start to fill in. I will never cut corners when it comes to flea & tick medicine again. Moreover, this is the only brand I will purchase.
within 24 hours my poor kitty was clear of fleas ! should have done it at the beginning of the season, instead of the product I had chosen!
Worked within 12 hours, no more scratching and the flea dirt and eggs are also gone.
One of my indoor cats had fleas. Not exactly sure how he got them, but they were out of control. I placed these drops on him and well within 12 hours they were falling dead in piles. I was utterly shocked that this product did what it said it would do. Giving this cat a bath was Completely out of the question.
I decided to try Advantage II because my pets were still suffering from fleas after 2 months on Frontline Plus. The ingredients are not the same as Frontline Plus, and in my research I found that when it doesn't work, Advantage II does. And it was right!
This product was also recommended by my vet.... I have a 2 yr old cat who is never let outside. I had a visitor who had a cat come with her(who had been treated with Front line plus). I was at the hospital for a week. when I returned my whole house was INFESTED on a major level, so was my cat. My cat was miserable, she scratched and dug all the time. I applied this product and it worked fantastically! within about 6 hours, she quit scratching and the majority of the fleas were dead. She has not been re-infested in over a week even though the house remains extremely infested. The other cat that was treated with frontline was still severely infested with fleas which also kept my house infested. We went ahead and treated her with this product which worked extremely well. I am currently using a flea indoor fogger to treat the house. So far neither cat has to be re-treated so far. Even though this product is a little expensive (I paid $49 at my local store) it is well worth the money. The only downside I see is, that it doesn't treat ticks, however since my cat is an indoor cat I can live with that.
I had an awful flea infestation with my 3 cats. 2 of the cats which were allowed outside became covered with fleas. I do not mean a few fleas I mean hundreds of flea's. To the point I would no longer allow them inside. I bought this product from Walmart in hopes it would help in some way. I brought it home applied it to the cats around 3pm. The next day around 7am I checked the cats outside and did not find any fleas on them. Brought them in bathed them to get rid of the flea dirt which turned their bath water dirty red. I did not wash where the Advantage was applied just to be safe.... They are now back inside and will not be allowed out again although I will be spraying the yard. This product worked beautifully I could not have hoped for better results. I will be using it from now on. No it is not cheap not by any means, but when something works it is well worth the money for me and for my pet.
if you go by what they are selling looking at the box, it is in fact not the same. i meeded this for small kitten that are 2 lbs, because it aays 1-9 lbs but its over 5 pounds. took a while for delivery but it happens, but not recieving what you thought you were sucks.
Doesn't kill fleas..... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
