Advantus 12" World Globe w/ Blue Oceans, Raised Relief, Silver, Semi-Meridian

Gave this as a Christmas present to my husband. He has wanted one for a long time so I wanted to get it right. This globe is perfect. The size is just right for our file cabinet. It revolves easily and the raised features give it a touch of reality.

This was purchased for use in a classroom. It is functional and just as described.

As far a globes go, this is a great one.

This came in a large box and completely assembled. It seems heavy duty enough and the stand is stable. The relief on the globe of mountains is depicted on the major mountain ranges but the mountains of Hispaniola weren't raised; probably because the island is so small. This globe is for my 6 year old grandson's birthday and will introduce him to the world. He will use this through high school, like I did.

Very satisfied with everything

My twin granddaughters are in 7th grade and interested in seeing in front of them where their music idols are from. A flat map from my atlas wasn't good enough because the same body of water is on two sides of a page and it's hard to put things in perspective. The globe I purchased is beautiful and durable and they will get years of educational use out of it. It was well worth the price I paid to get the higher quality globe. I seached four different store chains without finding a globe. Fifteen minutes on-line with walmart was all it took for the girls to have their globe in a week. We couldn't be happier and it is beautiful enough to be a conversation piece when they have friens visiting at their home.

Base is heavy enough so it won't tip over. Very sturdy. I love the raised mountain ranges. Great quality

I wanted a globe so that I can help my grandson with geography. I want him to really understand how large earth is and where places of interest are located.

Kashmir which is part of India, governed by India shows as independent. Arunchal is a state of India but does not show as China wants to grab. Ladakh is a union territory of India. It does not show.
