Adventure Time - Fiona and Cake: The Complete Series (DVD)

Yes, the majority of us agree that Cartoon Network should just cut the cheese and release full seasons instead of releasing compilation DVDs such as this one, Fionna And Cake, the 4th in the compilation department. The good news is that Cartoon Network will finally release a full second season this June. Wooo!! But at this rate, it won't be until 2016 until the complete fifth season (the latest televised episodes at the the time of this writing via 2013) is released. I don't know about you but I hope to have a cloned little lovable rascal of myself by then, and I probably won't have too much time to watch cartoons. (Wait... cartoons are for kids, right?). But if you are impatient and absolutely must own an Adventure Time DVD, I'd definitely go for this one. Why? First, I can only speak for myself but this compilation includes two of my favorite Marceline episodes: "Marceline's Closet" (Something smells like sourdough, I wonder what) and "What Was Missing" (which supposedly caused some controversy over the relationship of Marceline and Princess Bubblegum). Two, the first appearance of Flame Princess (Incendum). Three, other episodes I wouldn't mind watching over and over again such as "Lady And Peebles" (where Princess Bubblegum and Lady go an adventure to save Finn and Jake), and Dungeons and Dragons like episode of "Card Battles". Double-dipping is no fun but it seems like we have no choice at this point considering the rate of 'full season DVD' releases Cartoon Network is willing to provide. It seems like this compilation DVD, Fionna And Cake, is pretty much the only bold choice for now as it covers rhe best from seasons 2 to 4. Lumpy Space Princess never fails to make me laugh! For $11 or whatever, this DVD is definitely worth it since it provided me provided hours of laughter. Besides, the episode "Fionna And Cake" alone is easily worth the approximately $11 price tag, for a 16 episode DVD!!

Feb 6/2015 If you're expecting to see more than one Fiona and Cake episode, you will be as disappointed as my grandson was. The one episode was seen on the Season 3 DVD, and the rest of the disk was a rerun of old Finn and Jake episodes from Seasons 1-4. Wish I could get my money back.
