Easy to use. Effective for me on smaller tree limbs. I leave the heavy lifting to professionals as I am a 76 year old woman.

Works perfectly, easy to cut big branches

As a 66 year old man it has become unsafe for me to routinely scale my 8 ft ladder, with a power reciprocating saw in hand to 'prune' my two palm trees. Not wanting to pay someone to come in and do the job I have always done in the past, I purchased this pole saw to see if I could continue my tree trimming safely from the ground; instead of high up on the ladder. Happy to report the manual cutting actually went better than I thought it would. Just be advised the saw 'cuts' on the return pull stroke, and not the push action. I am very happy with this Walmart buy !

It was inexpensive but bent first time I used it.

The pole segments do not lock together firmly. While they seem secure, in the process of sawing limbs, the pole tends to be twisted around to get the right angle, and this can cause the pole segments to unlock and separate, which is dangerous -- the head of the saw could fall and strike the user or bystanders. I got my cutting blade stuck in limbs several times and the top separated from the rest of the pole, making it difficult and risky to retrieve.

Although the blade is usable, the pole attachments will not stay locked in order to use the device properly. continuously dettaches.
