Many of the plants available for AeroGarden are not necessarily things that that I grow. I almost always use the grow anything packs. I've grown peas and beans, many many varieties of micro dwarf and dwarf tomatoes including Micro Tom, Tiny Tim, Orange Hat, Geranium Kiss, Bundaberg Rumball. Sometimes I use the grow anything to start my seedlings and then transfer to the garden. I can't even tell you how many Sungold tomatoes I started that way. Another is that you can grow multiple different types of plants for example I grew a Japanese brand of cucumber with varieties of peppers and a little kale because basically for these I just wanted to get them going well and transplant outside.
I always get the grow anything kit because I love growing whatever I want. It's nice to have that freedom. And it's a really good deal. Usually all my seeds grow, but if they don't, I just add more seeds in the pod when it's clear they won't be growing.
Order came in without any product damage. Pods work Great with my Two Classic 7-Pod Garden. The back right and left pods do not set straight as the curve of the bottom tray interferes with the plastic pod going all the way down. But they work and seeds sprout even at an angle! I wish Aerogarden would bring back the smaller growing sponges I used with the initial Garden purchase so I can use the shorter pods in these back areas.
I'm a huge fan of AeroGarden-anything! I've had tremendous success with all of my gardens - herb, tomato and flowers. My seed starter has given me wonderful initial yields that I was able to later transplant into abundant plants including bush beans, lettuce, swiss chard, lemon balm, echinacea, daisies, even cat nip! My most recent purchase (50 grow pods) enables me to grow a completely customized garden - what fun! I can hardly wait to get started - but first need to transplant one of my current gardens, first. Or, maybe I should buy a 3rd AeroGarden?? Your products are great and keep my hobby growing!
Mary Mary quite contrary, You ask, how does my garden grow? With an aerogarden, fertilizer, seeds, and a light aglow. Daily I watch and wait as they begin to sprout, I can't wait for them to mature, and my salad gives a shout! I've been using an AeroGarden for approximately 3 to 4 years and they've always been a blessing to have in my home! I was with that one for a few months and I felt I just had to get another. I know they don't grow overnight, but they sure are handy to have when the plants do mature. I accidentally got the bottom wet probably a few too many times which caused the main board to short out so that's just a caution. I now have the one where the main board is above the plants that way it won't get wet. That was not AeroGarden‘s fault that was mine for not being very cautious when cleaning. I really appreciate the AeroGarden.
I reordered the growing pods, the first time I ordered everything was great sprouts came easily. This time all my pods got algae so bad and seeds molded so they didn't sprout. I got 2 sprouts out of 6. Pretty disappointing especially considering the first time it was perfectly fine. I cleaned the system thoroughly in-between seasons too. That being said one of my 2 plants is producing very well
I bought 4 Aerogardens months ago, and they came with prepped seeds, which was wonderful. Weeks ago, I've decided to buy more Gourmet Herbs Seed Pod Kit again, but the herbs didn't grow this time. I've followed the instructions to the T, and only one pod grew basil. I'm really sad. Not sure what happened.
Half of my basil pods didn't germinate. I placed my own seeds and they did…maybe missing seeds? Not sure. First time it's happened with these
Purchased these seed kits from Scott's web site. Unfortunately only 2 of the 6 are growing. I expected a better product when purchasing.
Only 2 plants grew in my replacement pods. Used brand new cilantro, spinach and lettuce seeds and followed directions to a T. Even replanted the 5 with different seeds and nothing ever grew. Very disappointed.
