AeroGarden Harvest Elite Slim with Gourmet Herb Seed Pod Kit

I live in a small apartment in SF so I thought I'd never be able to grow anything but was really excited when I heard about the Aerogarden. The experience of buying and setting the garden up was amazing and so easy. I was fortunate enough to place an order before Covid before the demand for the gardens spiked up so was able to find Cilantro pods (I cook a lot of Indian food) to which I allocated 4 pods in my garden. I also grew mint and basil on the other pods. Once cilantro pod didn't sprout, and even though I got a replacement later, that pod wasn't able to compete with the mint and basil pods close by and never quite grew as much as I'd like. Regardless, since the initial harvest, I have had to force myself to cook more often and find more opportunities to use the herbs that just grow so quickly! Its been such a joy and I ended up also getting the bigger 9 pod aerogarden for taller plants. It's been a wonderful experience for the past 4 months and I cannot recommend it enough.

I bought this for my mother-in-law who is in assisted living. She's growing cascading petunias and she's really happy with it. The garden looks great, is growing nicely, and fits well given her limited counter space.

My daughter got one of these at Christmas and completely set it up and takes care of it on her own. Is now using it at school as a science project. The lettuce is already over six inches high, although two pods didn't sprout ( but company says they will replace). Love the slim design, looks beautiful! Got the white version.

My Harvest Elite Slim has been great so far. I have the Harvest Elite and the "Add Water" alert light is already non- functional. I've only had it less than 6 months. I also have the Harvest XL and it's working great. Overall, I do enjoy these gardens.

I love my new Harvest Elite Slim! I was disappointed that my tomato seed pods did not arrive. I have reached out twice to let them know nothing was in the box. Good thing I have another AeroGarden with lots of seeds so I don't have to wait for them to return my email!

Fun to watch our little herbs sprout and grow. However, the light on this is extremely bright! We are still trying to figure out a way to block it that is attractive so that we can keep it in the kitchen where it belongs--in an open floor plan it shines into the TV and makes our parrot buggy.

So far so good! Just got started with it...but it's sleek and works well. The overhead light is a little bright to keep in occupied rooms...but not a deal breaker (first time it turned on we dubbed it the second sun). Any thoughts on how to dim it? Or keep the light contained around the device?

My husband loves to cook and has been interested in growing his own herbs for a while, but we are not plant people and an outdoor garden just didn't seem possible. This has been amazing and our herbs grew FAST! One of the 6 seed pods that came with ours never sprouted, so that was kind of a bummer. We need to buy a replacement for it. But overall, we love it and would absolutely recommend.

This is a cute and small countertop garden. Looks nice on the counter. Plants do grow! Everything I planted 76 days ago has grown. I am waiting for my cherry tomatoes to turn red, but they have produced fruit. I did what it says not to... and planted multiple vegetables... tomatoes, lettuce, peppers and basil. Lettuce grew very fast and was yummy. Basil grew tall, fast. Peppers are producing just now and tomatoes as I said are there just not edible yet. I made the mistake of not keeping plants short enough and they touch the lights which might explain why my tomatoes have not turned, so could be gardener issues vs garden issues. But light just does not expand tall enough in my experience. I bought a 9 pod garden which I have not yet planted because the six pod seems to only produce a small amount and light is too short. If you are an experienced gardener you may have a bit different experience with the six pod unit than I did. I like it just feel it needs to be a bit larger with higher lights. I do think my electric bill has increased with this so be aware of that if you have a low kWh plan.

I gave this as a gift to my daughter and I set it up for her. The spacing between the herbs is far too small and doesn't leave much room for the plants to grow and the light is extremely bright. Be sure you can put it somewhere where the light will not bother you. I had an old AeroGarden from 12 years ago, and though almost twice as big as this unit, the plants still had limited space for growth.
