My Mother and Daughter bought Aerogardens and every time I saw them at their homes they were bursting with enormous herbs and flower so I bought one for myself. I bought a red Harvest Elite. When the garden arrived I was amazed at how cute and compact it was. It was simple to set up and attractive to look at. I started with the herb pack...2 kinds of basil, thyme, dill and mint. I've has my garden for almost two months and it has grown so fast that I am able to use fresh herbs daily. Its really fun to watch. i liked it so well that I bought one for a friend. She started with the lettuce pack and within a month was making salads. This little garden yields big results!
For the last few years I have been giving this as gifts to my sons who have been using them not only for indoor salads but starting their summer garden seeds indoors.( MA.& VT.) I have 2 on my kitchen table & love having fresh salads ... & especially the Bok Choy, which grows very quickly. I have introduced these AeroGardens to any of my friends also.
The AeroGarden Harvest has a nice, clean look, is easy to set up, and provides a perfect environment for growing herbs and vegetables. We have been very pleased with how quiet the unit is. The indicator lights on the front panel make it very easy to maintain. No other issues so far.
The easiest way to grow herbs and start seedlings indoors! The Harvest is a complete unit (seedlings, light, tray, water reservoir, timer, water circulation pump, and plant food). Plus, it looks nice on the counter. I've had it 2 weeks and already have herbs 1-2 inches tall.
I was skeptical. I grow 3 big veggie and herbs gardens in the summer which I can, freeze, dehydrate and sell my harvest. Then comes winter and no more fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Buying from the supermarket is a big UGH.Then comes AeroGarden; I tried the AeroGarden Harvest and I'm a lover. Nothing like eating fresh homegrown lettuce, cherry tomatoes, peppers and some herbs as the snows fly. Will probably end up with Farm AeroGarden at some point.
We enjoy it - it has only been a month since we started the herb seed pods and we are harvesting leaves already. I gave it one less star because the control panel does not reset when I feed or water the unit. Also, one herb failed to germinate, but my free replacement is on its way to me.
The is my second Areogarden Harvest. The first one was a Christmas gift and I have that one for Herbs. This one I ordered for myself for Tomatoes. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is one of the pods had no seeds in it. I am aware I need to wait 21 days before filing a form and I still have 5 more days before I can do that, so hopefully after that process and going through customer service that will bring me to 5 Stars. Other than that, I am quite pleased with the unit and cannot wait to order another one in the future!
This is my third hydroponic garden from Aerogarden; I also have a Harvest Elite and a Twelve System. This unit replaced a much earlier model of the Harvest where the lights no longer functioned and could not be replaced, but Aerogarden gave me a great discount on this purchase. This unit is simpler in function and very easy to set up and use. The button on the back, to raise the lights, is definitely an improvement over the old "yank and pull" setup. I am currently growing petunias in this unit, and they are already blooming. Some people hoard cats (we don't qualify, with only two), but I could definitely become an Aerogarden hoarder!
Just started our garden. Slow process and not all the pods will grow. We have a bell pepper that hasn't sprouted with the other three yet. We decided to start with only four and see how it goes. It's has been almost two weeks, so hopefully the peppers start sprouting by end of second week. We use a calendar to keep track of feeding. We have ours next to sink, so it's a reminder to check the water, tho there are lights for that. Will wait and see.
We were real excited about it and the plants were growing very good. But for whatever reason we don't know why within 2 days they died. I was going to text customer service or call them but I seen this email so I thought I'd respond to this first.
