Soooo easy to make a simple cup of joe, but the magic is the different brewing techniques and endless variables to fine tune in order to produce the PERFECT cup of coffee. * hint: Check out AeroPress brewing competitions.
I bought during Black Friday week. This is worth buying.
Good as advertised. makes great tasting coffee!
a little complicated at first glance, but it's pretty intuitive to set up. once you get the hang of it, whatever magic (maybe black magic?) is imbued in this thing makes some of the best coffee i've ever made. it doesn't make much, but it also doesn't take long and is incredibly portable.
The AeroPress Go Travel Coffee Maker is a simple yet well made product. I have really enjoyed using it! I have not gotten as advanced as some in weighing grams of coffee as well as water. I also do not yet own a manual or electric burr coffee grinder for fresh beans. I used the scoop, heaping, (with a consistently ground espresso) and filled the unit up to 1.5 or 2 with 175 degree water. (slightly cooled after boiling water and used a kitchen thermometer) Stirred for 10 seconds to allow the coffee to bloom, carefully placed the plunger, and used my forearms crossed to apply weight to the "syringe" ....gently letting gravity do all the work. Then I added more water and a touch of creamer in to the mug to make it americano/latte style. It was a very good cup of coffee! Keep in mind that this makes espresso shots, and for a "cup" of coffee just add water and/or milk...and/or hot chocolate. :) It's all good! There are plenty of videos out there if you're a beginner like me. The instructions come with it, too! One minor drawback is the coffee filter holder is a nice concept but wants to open or not close and stay. I simply put it with some filters in a tall narrow snack baggie and folded the baggie in half. Not a dealbreaker by any means. This unit is really nice and portable. One can also use "regular" grounds and play with the brew cycle timing. I hope this helps! For a beginner it is really user friendly, and nice, and for the die hard barista, it is also very nice! Enjoy the process! ...and your coffee ;)
Known Aeropress efficiency in nice travel size!
Great Aeropress Go. Is the authentic item. Arrive quickly
Works perfectly for backpack. .
I did not even make 1 cup of coffee with it because I could clearly see the potential for 1)making a big mess to clean up. 2)the potential for breakage of the item eventually. And 3)It was easier to just prepare 1 cup of coffee by steeping it in cold water over night and pouring it through a coffee filter in the morning. This is how I made coffee when camping or backpacking. Cold press can be enjoyed cold or warm when heated up. The nice part is it doesn't have any bitterness when cold brewed.
Came in broken
