I mixed several strings with black tea and it was delicious. I even tasted the the strings at the end of my tea and the string pedals tasted soft. Would I purchase again no because of the cost and the amount given but it is a nice treat. Thanks Walmart.

Wow! This is the best saffron Ive ever come across! Its very pungent and deep red. My wife uses in her face masks and said she only needed to use about 1/4 of what she normally does. Ill never buy Spanish saffron again! Only saffron from Afghanistan! Its truly the best! They also sent me a sample of saffron salt that was smokey and oh so delicious!

Bought this last year at a farmers market in San Francisco it was so good! Surprised to see it here. Free shipping is always a plus. Are usually use this on my avocado toast, popcorn, pastas, grilled meat, and I soak my almonds in a little bit of this with water. Excited to see what else I can use this on.

Very potent! Use about half the amount if you usually buy Spanish saffron. The Afghan saffron is about x2 as strong. Has a strong sweet nutty like aroma. I keep smelling the jar like people do in the Gain detergent commercials!

Good saffron. Have to know how to use it. Just a pinch.

Packaging is poor and unprofessional. It's supposed to be at reduced price, but the cost still seems steep for the quantity. Could be because of the quality of the product, but I'm not an expert in Saffron; I just take it by faith because of presumed health benefits. So, I can't honestly tell why it's so expensive or why Afghan Saffron is better than Spanish.
