AFI Columbia Twin over Twin Bunk Bed with USB Charger, Walnut

I bought this for my grand children. They love it and it saves so much space.

We needed efficient but *safe and sturdy* sleeping for 5 grandkids in a small bedroom in our vacation home. We purchased 2 sets, one with drawers and one with the trundle. We looked at plenty of other less costly options, but the smooth wood, solid construction and well-drilled holes were obviously at a higher level. There was not one missing screw or wood piece. It's hard to tell from photos, but the edges of all the trim pieces are slightly rounded and smooth, so when kids do bump into an edge, it's much less likely to harm them. There is good head space between the upper and lower beds, and despite the sturdiness, they are not overly massive - an important feature since we needed two sets. The ladder is compact and we chose it purposely so it doesn't impact the floor space. The straight vertical climb is not easy for some kids to do, but the configuration was worth that slight down side to us. Bunk beds can be a tricky purchase because safety is so important. I recommend these highly, although they do cost more than many other options. We purchased the natural finish and it's great.

This was the first bunk bed purchase for our child four years of age... My child loves the new bunk bed & we love the sturdy construction... It truly is a quality piece of furniture... The assembly was quick & easy too... The only negative Is not finding the Hayneedle website option earlier as we had ordered & had to cancel prior bunk bed orders from other companies including those selling Atlantic furniture due to discrepancies with shipping dates & options... Fortunately, the combination of quality manufacturing from Atlantic furniture and the ease & quick delivery by Hayneedle was 100% satisfactory... Highly recommend the Atlantic furniture company & Hayneedle...

I was pleasantly surprised by these beds! When they first arrived, I was concerned they might be hard to put together but I did it mostly by myself pretty quickly. Any my five year old loves it! We went with the drawers underneath, which are great for extra storage. We have had them for a few months now and they still look brand new, which considering the abuse they stand up against with my kids, that is amazing!

This bunkbed had very easy to follow instructions. Simple to put together and made out of quality materials. It looks great and I would say it was perfect except for one thing. It smells really strong of chemicals. We have had it up for 3 days and the smell is still strong. I have been leaving the window open all day, but at night when the windows are closed, the smell just gets strong again. I am hoping it goes away. Other than that it is perfect!

I am happy with this bed. Just put it up over the weekend, and it seems sturdy. It did have one small chip in the corner of the bottom bunk, which was a disappointment, but I'm willing to live with it. The drawers underneath sit directly on the floor. Not a big deal for us as the room has carpet, but I'm not sure how it would work on wood floor. I would describe finish as a pretty bright white, though we do have it in a room with another piece of furniture that is more off-white, and it works.

We bought this bunk bed for our 8 year-old daughter after moving to a new home. Her bedroom is somewhat small and she wants to be able to have sleepovers. This bed, with the trundle, solved that issue and is great looking in her room. It was easy to assemble and seems very sturdy. We are waiting for the mattresses to arrive and look forward to her sleeping in her new bed.

What is this bed made of? My bed started falling apart one week after I bought it. One slat of the upper bed broke after a few days of use. And my 7 years old girl was all but heavy! Then cracks started appearing all over. After one year the guard rail broke on one side and fell down. I called Hayneedle but they told me I needed to buy not one rail but two rails because they come together. They would not replace at their expenses the part even if the bed was abviously not made well (the gurad rail is attached in a way that places too much weight on only one point and it is made of soft wood)! Yesterday night the rail (that I had fixed with duct tape) fell over my daughter who was under it. She could have easily ended up at the hospital had the rail hit her head instead than her foot. So today I called Hayneedele to buy the piece and they asked me 231 dollars to replace the guard rails (both of them). How unfair! There are pieces of furniture that last hundred of years and here after 1 year a bed is ""old"" and nobody is accountable for it. Did in the past use to grow better wood or better men? Men that used to take pride in their work. Our ancestors are ashamed of their children and the way they work. A piece of furniture with this price that last for 2 seasons. They wouldn't have believed it.

Piece of junk! These beds aren't even 4 years old and they are falling apart. We've replaced 3 slats and now one of the side boards is split beyond repair!
