Keeps hair healthy
This is a great product. Its creamy but not too watery. My hair feels soft when i touch it and my sons hair get dry aftwr football practice so when i rubbed thw top and it was easy to movw my hands through. Africans Pride is certainly the truth and i repeat buy.
Have used this for about a month and I love it. It keeps my hair very moisturized; even after almost a week between my washings, my hair was not dried out like before. It is a thicker cream which I like also. I will continue to use this and it just may be my new go to especially for the great price.
I have 4a/4b hair and it took so long for my to find a product that worked good for my hair and after searching I came across this and I have not stopped using it since. It moisturizes my hair, smells good, has no hard chemicals and leaves my hair looking amazing. Its also fairly priced and I would definitely recommend!
Love this..very smooth, not a harsh smell for my 4yr old toddler. Doesnt cake up and only needs a little to do a lot of smoothing. Will buy again
Love this product smells nice and keeps my hair moist and curly, my hair has grown so much since using this product because it allows my hair a lot of moisture
The smell is nice and it DOES linger just in case you don't like it. My low porosity type 4C hair drunk this product up! I deep conditioned my hair with a homemade avocado mixture, applied Design Essentials instant conditioner underneath and then used my hooded dryer for about an hour. After rinsing that out I applied my leave in conditioner and then this leave in cream right on top. I sat under the dryer for another 40 mins or so. Afterwards I applied a light drizzle of almond oil to seal everything with even more indirect heat. It's not necessary to layer conditioning products like I did, but I have EXTREME low porosity type 4 hair and heat is the only way I can get any moisture. The formulation of this product shows that it's low porosity friendly (read the ingredients)! I could immediately tell that my hair was moisturized after leaving the hooded dryer. Layering products underneath this cream and using heat will give you maximum moisture. I will stock up on this affordable leave in cream! I knew this was the real deal when I noticed that after applying it, I didn't see a lot of product residue sitting on top of my strange. Make sure to apply this to detangled soaking wet hair!!!!
This is a fairly effective hair dangler. It is a leave-in conditioner that does not become itchy, white or flaky. It does not promote shine or hair growth, yet hair breakage is minimize because the detaining decreases tearing. The softening effects last 2-3 days until the next washing. This is best I have found in the last two years. This product works best with the African Pride Shampoo.
The initial moisture is good, but when it dries, it makes the hair brittle and stiff.
This review is based on the packaging and not necessarily the product itself. This just arrived today and the jar had no safety seal and leaked all over the other items in my order. Super frustrating to say the least. Not only was it messy but I'm concerned that there was nothing protecting the product. I don't even want to use what was left in the jar because there is no way to know if it was tampered with. I also ordered a spray bottle of leave in conditioner from the same company and it was sealed to prevent tampering and spillage during shipping. I will say that it did smell good and that's why I gave it 2 stars. Can't speak further on the quality. I'm also frustrated that Walmart wants me to return the product to the store. Why? It can't be (and shouldn't be) resold. Just seems like a waste of everyone's time and resources when they'll just throw it away.
