This was a fun build. I did need a second person for a couple steps but otherwise i did it myself in about 2.5 hours. the instructions are fairly clear if you study them carefully and check over each stage. The led lights are not really impressive but the power and charging ports are a great feature. its sturdy enough but really needs to be bolted to the wall and the bolts provided are for concrete not wood studs. i had to get creative with that part using three eye bolts in studs and a ratchet strap. it's also limited in how it can be placed in a room. Due to the ceiling fan, I had to place it against a wall where the desk was rendered useless from the intended side but I was able to reorient the drawers to open from the inside and the desk is still functional from that direction but as far as I can tell, it can only be assembled this way so that's important to know. I bought a 5 inch foam mattress for the top bunk which was perfect as my 8 inch one was too high. my kids are happy with it and its great for a teenager who shares a room with a younger child.
