I enjoy Joan Hickson so much. I don't care that Agatha Christie thought Margaret Rutherford was her ideal Miss. Marple. Sorry Agatha but I disagree. Joan fits Agatha's physical description to a T or a tee, however you prefer it. I loved Margaret as well but for other things more so than for her Miss Marple. There was a little too much comedy in Margaret's Marple. Marple seems a more serious and subdued character to me. Joan Hickson also does audio book readings for all her Agatha Christie endeavors. I would like to have those on DVD as well. Clearly I have not purchased an audio book before.

Bought it for my mom for Christmas and she absolutely loves it!

some of the discs don't play and are pixelated and some blank, despite beening brand new, bery disappointed

The dvd's came in an envelope of sorts, not a box. Corner of the dvd's outer case was damaged and each of the dvd cases inside, all three, had damage. Broken at edge of the case and the disc holders on two of the cases were broken off. Sad because the product is viewable but as I collect there, it is not great that the packaging is so poor.

the dvd's skips and freezes

The first disc I put in the player made a loud rattling sound. I tried two more discs and they did the same thing. I didn't check the other discs, but returned the whole set for a refund.

two of the disc would not load at all. i even tried to put them in a different player and they still wouldn't load. 7 of the disc jumped all the way through. that left one disc that ran smoothly. don't waste your money on this series.
