[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spreader is very well built. Wheels are air filled and have great traction. Instructions were pretty easy to assemble it! We are using it to plant our grass seed after a septic renovation. Great wide spread too.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start off by saying how easy it was to put this spreader together. It is very durable and portable. It's very effective and makes treating our yard a lot easier. I recommend this spreader to everyone, it's a must!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We actually used this as a replacement for our Scott's grass seed spreader and it's much more high quality and durable. It can also be used for more than just seed we can also use it for salt in the winter.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Spreader working great so far! Used it twice to spread clover seeds. It has a nice wide spread and the big tires had no issues going over our bumpy ground. Took some time to assemble, a little more than I would like so I had to pick it up a few separate times, but it's well built and sometimes quick assembly doesn't mean quality. So wasn't upset about assembly time, but was longer than I planned. Would recommend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this seed spreader. I've used it twice already. Once for grass seed all around our property. As it started to sprout thru the straw I placed on top of the seeds I used it for flea and tick pellet distribution to keep pests at bay for a month or so this summer. Easy to assemble. Moves really well over all terrain types bc the tires are big and hefty. Seeds and pellets spread evenly and I got my entire yard done with one fill. I am very happy with this product. I look forward to seeing what else I can use this for! I don't know how I managed doing so much yard work without it before.
When assembling the 110 lb spreader, the instructions fail to mention inserting the shaft up through the cross member in step 3. By the time you'll realize your mistake, it will be very hard to correct without complete disassembly, and the axle nuts will be hammered on. The picture is correct, but if you're following the printed directions you'll miss it! This is so poor, why hasn't it been corrected?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got a Agri-Fab 110lb seed spreader to seed my lawn,. After the winter we had a few patches in the lawn that the grass didn't fill in completely and I wanted to make my lawn look green and luscious again. Here is how my experience with it went. Putting it together was pretty straightforward. The instructions were clear, and most of the parts fit together without too much trouble. It took me about 45 minutes from start to finish, mostly because I double-checked everything. The hardware was least to tell apart , but a ratchet set definitely helped speed things up. One thing I noticed: the control cable and the plastic lever assembly felt a little delicate during setup. I was careful not to overtighten anything, especially around the gear mechanism and handle area. Once I did get it all put together, it rolled really smoothly over both short grass and uneven patches. The large pneumatic tires are a big plus. Once I finally loaded it with grass seed and adjusted the flow setting using the guide on the hopper lid I was able to get It spread in about a 10-foot width area, which was great for covering large areas quickly. I did notice that the cable that opens the hopper sometimes feels like it might pop loose if you're not careful but, overall this thing gets the job done. It's a great fit for DIY lawn care on medium to large yards. I was very pleased with the outcome and how fast I was able to do my yard. I can not wait to see how my lawn looks this summer after the grass all comes in.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given the opportunity to try the Agri-Fab 110 lb Push Spreader and was very happy with it! It took about an hour to assemble and was pretty straightforward to put together even though the directions are vague and just images of what to do. The spreader itself is very heavy duty and seems to be well-made. The only thing that didn't appear to be heavy duty was the adjustment mechanism. It's pretty flimsy and delicate and got damaged during assembly. It still works but will definitely need to be replaced in the near future. My advice would be to be very cautious during assembly and be sure to not over-tighten it at all. The company should think about adding this to the directions too. I love that it has such a large capacity and will make seeding and treating our five acres much easier than the smaller spreaders we've used in the past. I also saw that you can use it to lay ice melt so that will be super convenient in the winter time! Overall, I'm super impressed with the Agri-Fab 110lb Push Spreader and would recommend it to anybody in the market for a heavy duty, well-made spreader.
I'm on my third flow rate control. I'm tired of calling for a replacement and getting the exact same thing. First or second use, it breaks and I have to resort to using pliers to open to pull on the cable to open and close. WHEN will a design, not made of plastic components, be available as a fix?
the cable control is absolute cheap junk, have replaced the cable three times and they all did the same thing. cable housing pulls out of the control lever and it gets stuck open and then you can't shut it off. have wasted three bags of fertilizer because of it. it is now broken again today and am throwing it in the trash. company was very good about replacing the cable but got the same cheap cable that doesn't hold up
