Agri-Fab 185 lb. Broadcast Tow Behind ATV/UTV Spreader Model #45-0329

I just used the ATV/UTV spreader to broadcast over 3000 pounds of lime and fertilizer in preparation for fall deer food plots. The spreader worked flawlessly and I accomplished my task quicker than expected. The spreader easily handled heavy loads (four 40 pound bags of lime at a time) even over rough ground that I worried might cause a tip over. No cause for concern though, the spreader remained stable and upright. I highly recommend this spreader.

After researching ATV mounted, pull behind, powered, and wheel driven I settled on this unit to use behind my UTV. Pin in axle allows removal so it can be transported with speed. When axle engaged it spreads well. The drive gears are enclosed and include a grease fitting for lubrication. I am using on food plots 1/2 to 1 1/2 acres. Loaded with 100 # fertilizer no problems. Loaded with 120 # of pellet lime no problems. Adjustment for material size takes some tinkering for initial set up but worked well once set, tightening bolts that have the plastics washers in that lever help to keep it where you set it. Screen above drop hole keeps lumps from blocking it.

Assembly was fairly straight forward. Follow instructions closely - pay attention to pictures! I added an extension arm in order to shut flow off and on while pulling behind my ATV. Spread 400lbs of rye seed on food plots - worked great!

HAD AN AGRI-FAB SPREADER FOR YEARS BUT FINALLY WORE OUT. THIS SPREADER IS MUCH BETTER BUILT

Seems well built, very little grease on gears, turned over rough, pulled covers and filled cavity with grease, smoothed out, relatively easy assembly, could use some deflectors to keep material from flying towards tow vehicle

Works great, just wish you could reach the control lever from sitting position on my lawn mower. You have to jump off quickly to turn off spreader shoot. Maybe extension handle option would be great. Very happy with how it works

The impeller shaft was off center in the hopper opening by about 3/8". Also axle was off center by about the same amount.

Used once. The lower spreader shaft bushing kept popping off causing metal to metal contact on the spreader shaft. The spreader shaft is now almost worn through. The gear box keeps seizing up causing the drive wheel to slide. The gear assembly must be made of plastic or something. It appears that every effort was made to production costs for this spreader.

Didn't have all parts and hardware returned it to Walmart.
