Agri-Fab 85 lb. Deluxe Broadcast Push Spreader Model #45-0531

This spreader seems like a well made product,considering it's price range. Would it be ample for a commercial professional landscaper,most likely not. But for the do it yourself home handy man,with occasional use it certainly will fit the bill. Some other purchaser's have stated they found the assembly directions difficult to follow,I didn't find them any more difficult than building a model car,back in the day. I'd purchase again if needed.

The spreader is great and spreads consistently. It is well made.

Spreader is good for rough sloped terrain and for that I am happy with product. The assembly manual was pictures which was mostly okay except there was no pictures of how to assemble the cable assembly which was not assembled. I look on manufactures site and no information on how to assemble, and searched internet and You Tube with no luck. I played around with it until I got it to work. Spent more time with cable assembly than with the rest of the spreader.

Works great! Love the sturdy tires and the controls at the top of the handle. Just was unclear as to the correct setting to use when reading the manual and the fertilizer bag.

Put it together it is ok. Short a cotter pin Ok home owner spreader for medium size lawn. Tires are good

I'm sure my new spreader will operate fine. When I received it, two of the parts were the wrong size. 1.) The Flow Plate was for the next size smaller spreader. 2.) The Tube Stand was for the next size larger spreader. Needless to say, I can't use the spreader yet, but parts are on the way.

Bought about a year ago the only problem is the spreader cable breaks easy.

This product should be recalled due to the poor engineer design and construction of the Lower Handle Tube, and the Flow Setting Indicator. Upon assembling my 45-05314 spreader (per instructions), I filled the hopper with product, set the adjustment on the flow setting indicator and starting using. About ten feet out, the lower handle tube (Part #2-551BL3) became loose and the hopper pitched forward, thus losing my balance, almost going over the hopper and dumping an abundance amount of fertilizer on the yard. I re-tightened the lower handle tube and started dispensing, but realized the product was coming out too fast because the flow setting indicator had moved. Upon closer examination, it is determined the flimsy, plastic indicator put on this unit is not of quality compatibility. I can't believe the company would stick something so cheap on their product. It is unusable and I have to purchase a more reliable product. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY TOO!

The control on tjis spreader is useless. It does not hold a setting when you push the lever to open the slide that lets the fertilizer out, so it pushes all the way forward and dumps piles of fertilizer on the lawn. I now have fertilizer burn spots on my fron lawn. Don't waste your money on this piece of junk.

I bought this product about a month ago, the spreader control cane broke and all detached. I call the company and they send me a new one. I installed it, but when you are adjusting the spreader the cable on the control box comes out and it will not open/close the where the fertilizer comes out. I am very disappointed about the product. I have purchase other AGR-fab product and have not any problem. I hope I can return this product as it does not work.
