Minimal assembly required. Missing 3 washers, but had 3 extra nuts. i had no problem acquiring 2 washers from my stash in the junk drawer. should be able to assemble with illustrations in pamphlet. id recommend this drop spreader to anyone.

This worked perfectly for spreading powdered lime. It looks like it will work great for fertilizer too.

Took two hours to assemble. All hardware was included. Wife had to help hold bolts at two different places. Pay close attention to all pictures and assemble in order. Have spread pellet lime with spreader and pulled with zero turn mower. Have to watch to not turn too short like you can with any zero turn while pulling an attachment. Spread evenly, even on hillside. A real time saver on my 1/2 acre. I did not wash out, but instead used strong leaf blower to clean out. I worry about not being able to dry completely and want to prevent any rust. Oiled wheel bearings. Will save lots of time next spring fertilizer season.

The Agri-Fab 42" Spreader I ordered is too large for my application. The product is well made and a good buy but will not work for my application.

Trouble getting the spreader to distribute product evenly. The right side of the divider empties quicker than the left side. The spreader also fails to shut off completely. I have readjusted the slide but have not had the opportunity to use it since. Hopefully the adjustment will help.

Does what it's supposed to do… hard to tell exactly how much product is dropping and adjustment lever is a bit temperamental.

Product very lacking in assembly instructions %26 very difficult to assemble

Very disappointed with this spreader. Assembled with few issues. A couple of washers were missing and a couple of extra nuts were included. Checked alignment of drop bar and holes-looked good. Began spreading Turfbuilder crab grass preventer and fertilizer. Lawn was dry and cut lower than normal the day before in preparation. Ground temperature was at 50 degrees (Davis Vantage Pro soil thermometer). (Immediately had trouble getting both sides of spreader to deliver consistently much-less uniformly. Had two acres to do. Stopped repeatedly to adjust/check hole alignment. Never could get both sides of spreader to deliver even close to the same amount (each side has its own supply of product). It's now one week later and the results are horrendous. Some strips appear to have received no fertilizer from either side whereas some strips look like each side delivered different amounts. Towing the unit was not a problem. I used our JD X300 tractor. I used an aluminum extension tube to extend the spreader handle so I could reach it while driving. I opened and closed the spreader while turning around. Everything was pretty good operationally with the spreader except the delivery of the material. There is no way to monitor your control of the material as you're moving. I tried multiple settings. Really a frustrating and disappointing experience. I have to try to return it.

Can't honestly evaluate how it works yet since some of the bolts sheared off when putting the spreader together during initial assembly. If they can't hold up to a girl tightening them then I am worried how well this product will hold up. This is my 3rd spreader I have purchased from this manufacturer one lasted a year. The last one lasted for 2 years before breaking. They were different models and I just knew with the size and durability of this one it would last. So far it has failed out of the gate. I did contact the manufacturer and they shipped out new screws so we will see once I finish assembly how it works and holds up. Make products in America Again!
