Agri-Fab Tine De-Thatcher, 42 Inch, Universal Design Model # 45-0343

We found this product in other websites but found it at Walmart for a lesser price. We are definitely happy with it!! if you own a big piece of property this is a great helper 😆

I bought this de-thatcher last fall. It took about 45 minutes to assemble and I put it to work. It's really nice to de-thatch and sweep up all the debris at the same time. I then went at 90 degrees to the first pass. Reseeded next and then fertilizer. The whole process was about 2 hours for 9000 square feet. Did the back yard a couple days later, 15000 square feet, about a little over 3 &1/2 hours.I had a pull behind de-thatcher for about 10 or so years, my neighbor asked if he could borrow, it, I told him to just keep it. This type works so much better, and you can raise it for transport, and remove it completely in a couple minutes Somebody put some thought into this tool, when they designed it. I use the sweeper every couple weeks in the summer, it only takes a few minutes to connect to my lawn tractor and the yard looks neater because of it.

Easy to assemble %26 does a phenomenal job! A single row of tines does better than my Simplicity front mount multi row ever did. And yes it was adjusted properly.

I mounted the dethatcher to the front of an AgriFab sweeper; mounting was easy and instructions were easy to follow. I use the dethatcher for the first time yesterday and I was happy with what it was able to bring up. The reason for 4 stars is because I wish the tines were a little closer together. But, overall, I am happy with the purchase.

Great de-thatcher that attaches to my Agri-Fab lawn sweeper. Only problem, thus the 4 stars, is that when not using it staying in the "Up" position is not very reliable. So instead I removed it from my lawn sweeper so as to not worry about it dropping down and de-thatcher when not desired. It is heavy duty and does the trick when using it!

Good Dethatcher. I have it attached to the Agri-Fab Lawn Sweeper but you want to pay attention to where you have the hook so it is easy to release and connect. I placed too close to part of the frame that interfered at first and I could not get it too release.

good piece of equipment but.........the tine attachment is not good. rather than pinching the tine between 2 washers a simple twist and have the bolt drop thru the resulting hole would be muh more secure.

I love the concept of the bolt on de-thatcher to eliminate a second pass with the sweeper and changing attachments. Time saver for sure. I gave a 3 star rating for a couple reasons. First I think it should have a second row like the stand alone unit (if possible) in the design and second thing is the tines on either end are bending up constantly. Not sure why because I didnt take the time to watch behind me to determine the cause since it was about to rain. They are not going to last long if they keep bending and I keep bending them back to correct position. Other than those two concerns I am happy with it. I might add that I do have the 2 row stand alone de-thatcher as well but eliminated the need for an extra pass across the 1 acre yard with the sweeper by adding the bolt on de-thatcher to it.

I bought this attachment to mount on my sweeper. Truthfully I expected more from the product based on the name brand. The mounting hardware for my model sweeper is cheep and does more damage to the sweeper then stabilize the de- thatcher. It does a good job of de-thatching the yard but you have to design your own mounting hardware or repaint the sweeper every time you use it.
