This is a great buy. I gifted one each to my twins. The trick is to tape a dime on top of the needle and it will play great!

My 20-year-old son liked that it was portable but did not like that it skips sometimes. I think the record was dirty or scratched but he thinks the player is of lesser quality. He wants me to return it and let him put the money towards one with better quality.

The turn table plays too slowly, making the sound drag. The unit was a Christmas gift That I was unable to deliver at Christmas., The return time was past due when I delivered the gift, so I assumed the unit could not be returned.

When it was opened it did not work and because the person I gifted to waited to open it, it can not be returned.

The record player's speed control was unreliable and the songs played sounded faster.
