I had a check engine light on my 1998 Toyota Avalon caused by a bad O2 sensor (Bank 1 Sensor 1). I purchased these Denso sensors, which are the same as OEM. The installation wasn't too bad—although I did have to lay on top of the engine and reach my arm down to access it. After installing it, I drove the car for a few days and the check engine light stayed off. It also passed smog with no issues. Highly recommend.
Oxygen sensor as described. Easy installation and check engine light went out as expected. Only reason for four stars is haven't had much run time yet, since only installed a week ago.
Order came quickly, product matched however, connector did not match vehicle OEM. Turned out Denso and Toyota had wrong info. was able to return without any problem.
great product fast ship . iam very happy check engine light is gone
I purchased this because it was $20-$30 less than other stores. Being that it was walmart i thought it was possible it was the real sensor and not a cheap knock off. It arrived before schedule which was great. The image on the box was of another sensor and on the back of the box you could see "234-9007" was cut out and glued over "234-4147". Inside the box was the sensor but none of the denso anti seize which was another red flag. The sensor had on it; "TOYOTA 89467-41011" This part number is for the denso 234-9009 or the front bank sensor. It had a longer cable than the original I took out, matching the front bank sensor. Not wanting to put the wrong sensor in or void my ability to return it I returned it and paid the extra money to get the correct sensor. I then purchased the sensor from Advanced Auto Parts and you could clearly see the difference from this one and the real one. Denso doesn't use any of the traditional part numbers on it and it definitely comes with anti seize, and the image on the box should match the sensor you're buying. This sensor may of worked just fine but I didn't want to take the chance. Order this part with that in mind, you might get the right sensor you might not. The cheaper price made it enticing but if you want to save time and get it right the first time buy it from your local auto parts store.
