Taking our barn down board by board and after 3 - 5 gallon buckets of nails removed by hand, this is wonderful. Looked on line for a faster way to remove the nails saw a video of this and thot it was worth a try. Wow! What a time saver. Don't hesitate, try it!

WorkPro Pneumatic Nail Remover

Glenn December 21, 2025

The WorkPro pneumatic nail remover showcased in this video is a specialized tool designed to dramatically speed up the process of pulling nails from wood, especially when breaking down pallets, crates, or other lumber-heavy projects. What Stands Out • Ease of Use: The core appeal of this tool is how effortlessly it extracts nails. You simply position the nose over a nail and let the pneumatic punch mechanism do the work — no prying or twisting with a crowbar required. This makes it a user-friendly tool for both experienced carpenters and DIYers tackling larger jobs. • Productivity Boost: The video frames this nail remover as not just functional, but fun and rewarding to use — particularly when demolishing wooden pallets or skids. If you've ever spent an hour wrestling with stubborn nails by hand, this tool clearly feels like a time and energy saver. • Specialized Tool: One thing the video makes clear (and what other reviewers emphasize) is that this isn't a general-purpose tool — it's a unitasker that excels at exactly what it's built for: removing nails quickly and cleanly. If your work involves lots of deconstruction of wood pieces, it's a strong choice; for more occasional or diversified use, its specialization might be overkill. Pros • Highly effective at removing nails with minimal effort. • Great for large projects where efficiency matters. • Pneumatic power makes repetitive tasks less tiring. Cons • Requires an air compressor (pneumatic setup) — not ideal for casual or one-off use. • Because it's designed for a single function, it's not as versatile as a combo pry bar or claw hammer. Overall Impression The video highlights the WorkPro pneumatic nail remover as a practical, fun, and efficient solution for heavy nail-removal tasks, particularly when dealing with pallets and wood salvage projects. While it's a bit specialized, for the right audience — woodworkers, contractors, and serious DIYers — it could be a valuable addition to the toolkit.

Saves a lot of hammering

Tim March 18, 2021

Great tool. You will need to experiment with air pressure. I started at 80psi bumped up to 100 for best results. Also you should purchase a swivel air connector. I can now use boards I was throwing in my fire pit

Awesome, but could use a longer punch rod.

Updog February 22, 2019

This thing is pretty amazing. If you can get a hold of the back of a nail it works best. If you go from the front on something like a fence board it’ll create a hole is big is the head of the nail and won’t shoot it completely through. The punch rod could use a 1/2” longer throw, but other than that I love it. Huge timesaver. We’ll see how it holds up.
