I bought this cheaper version of the airtag because it looks pretty nice and has rechargeable battery which the last two airtags that I threw away did not have. The setup was super easy using "FindMy" on my iPhone. It connected right away. I gave a name, icon, and saved it. Done! I tested the beep/locate function which worked perfectly!
My husband has been fixated on e-ink technology lately and our anniversary is this week. I'm giving him this little tracker that he can keep on his keychain and always have a photo of us nearby. The app is a little bit clunky but from the included instructions I was able to figure out how to activate it and add a photo. The app also lets you add text to the photo so you could use it as an ID tag for anything. It's also rechargeable which is huge for him. It's a nice compact size and I know he's going to love it!
love this product it works 10/10 ! very easy to use and strong material , small so easy to carry.

The air tracker tag with E ink display is smaller and thicker than I anticipated. I easily downloaded and installed the image upload app for the tag and that is where my issues started. The app easily lets you put in text rather than an image however, that text is so incredibly small that it is useless and unreadable. The text appears to only able to be added in portrait mode. If you could add the text horizontally, it's possible that it would large enough to read. Since I wasn't able to add text that was readable I uploaded an image. It was super quick and easy to do however it is super small and fairly hard to see. The picture in the listing shows a color image taking up the entire space of the display, however, the product doesn't allow you to upload anything in color since it's black-and-white E ink. Additionally, there is always going to be an empty space above and below your image. Basically you can't take advantage of the entire screen display as far as I could tell. The included lanyard is way too long to attach to a suitcase and will definitely get hung up on something if you check your bag in. That will lead to the bag tag getting ripped off of your luggage or item and getting lost. I suppose you could put this item inside your suitcase, but that defeats the purpose of this being a bag tag. Although I really wanted to like this item, the issues with it prevent it from really being something practical for me. As far as it being a simple tracker, I like the novelty of being able to add a picture to it I just wish the screen was bigger
