AIRHEAD Self Center Tow Harness, Yellow, 12 FT

The hooks were a little smaller than the harness I was replacing so I had to cut the hooks off the old harness and put those on first.

Works better than I thought it would. Stays away from the outboard, the pulley system helps maintain pressure on the rope when changing directions.

Tried out my new harness last weekend. Let me tell you that the pulley system works great. Very smooth on turns and does not get caught up going into and coming out of turns. Only prob for me is that I bought a 12ft version since there is no smaller version available. I have a small boat so a 6' - 8' ft harness would have been much better. I did however, shorten the length of the rope a few feet by knotting the rope as close to the hooks as possible. Shorter length seems to work much better for me that way by keeping the rope out of the water. Also, now using the BOB to help keep the rope out of the water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the Airhead Self Centering Tow Harness rope for 1-2 Riders in a 12 foot length for a couple of weeks now. This rope is very sturdy and a great thickness. It's well made with good construction and the metal hooks are good quality. It has a plastic pulley piece in the middle that I am worried will break over time but for now is working well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used this Airhead boat tow rope when we went tubing and it worked great. I like that it self-centered for smooth towing. It has a durable rope and heavy duty hardware. I would highly recommend this tow rope.

Decent product that almost lives up to it's claim. It is supposed to float and eliminate the possibility of the line becoming entangled in the prop. I have had it entangled in my outboard prop a couple of times...no big deal really, just be aware it could still happen. When another boats wake or winds push the boat backwards, the floating line can still "sink" slightly and get caught in the prop. The only portion that "floats" is the "attaching portion" to the main tow line hook. Regardless, I would buy another if needed.
