AIRHEAD Self Center Tow Harness, Yellow, 12 FT

Works better than I thought it would. Stays away from the outboard, the pulley system helps maintain pressure on the rope when changing directions.

The hooks were a little smaller than the harness I was replacing so I had to cut the hooks off the old harness and put those on first.

Tried out my new harness last weekend. Let me tell you that the pulley system works great. Very smooth on turns and does not get caught up going into and coming out of turns. Only prob for me is that I bought a 12ft version since there is no smaller version available. I have a small boat so a 6' - 8' ft harness would have been much better. I did however, shorten the length of the rope a few feet by knotting the rope as close to the hooks as possible. Shorter length seems to work much better for me that way by keeping the rope out of the water. Also, now using the BOB to help keep the rope out of the water.

It has a nice grip at the end, making it easy to hold onto or attach to some thing without causing rope burn. The rope itself is very strong and no signs of breaking. To use it for its normal function it would be very easy with the two securing clasps on one end and then the rope tie off on the other. The self centering factor works amazing as demonstrated, and would definitely be efficient and towing a boat in the water.. it's always good to have a good tow rope and this is one that will last a long while!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We went out to the lake last week and used this tow harness with out inter tubes and it worked out very nicely. This was our first time towing inter tubes on our boat and it was so much fun. We could have two people being towed at the same time so we all had a lot of fun. This tow harness feels nice and strong and we are so happy we can do this everytime we go out to the lake now.

I wanted the kids to have a smooth ride and this kept them centered so the ride wasn't too wild. We had a lot of fun and this helped give us a safe, good time

Decent product that almost lives up to it's claim. It is supposed to float and eliminate the possibility of the line becoming entangled in the prop. I have had it entangled in my outboard prop a couple of times...no big deal really, just be aware it could still happen. When another boats wake or winds push the boat backwards, the floating line can still "sink" slightly and get caught in the prop. The only portion that "floats" is the "attaching portion" to the main tow line hook. Regardless, I would buy another if needed.

Really like the connector for the pull rope compared to older/cheaper harnesses. We will continue to put this to the test through summer and I do recommend to other. Give this one a try!!!

However, the length of the rope can make it difficult to maintain a safe distance from the towing boat. It also requires some trial and error to get the positioning right. Overall, it's a decent option for tubing but could benefit from some improvements.
