Works better than expected!!

Amanda April 23, 2023

I used to have to use a cpap for sleep apnea. I lost about 60lbs and put my machine away bc my apnea score was way below what is considered sleep apnea. My machine was having a negative effect since I technically no longer needed it. I still snore. It isn't the gasping for air, stopped breathing kind that happens with sleep apnea. Just your basic deep sleep snoring. I have tried many different things to help but nothing by itself seems to work. Same goes for these. I found “hale” nasal dilators online but they were about twice the cost of these. I took my chance with these but I am glad I ordered the one with both sizes instead of going with the one size that says it fits most people. The first night I used the bigger size but it did not stay in. The smaller size has worked way better. It is a little uncomfortable at first but not as bad as some other dilators. I have been dealing with allergies for the first time in my life so my nose tends to get a little congested at night time too which this has helped open it up. I found that all of these different snoring remedies that I have tried do not work by themselves or even in pairs. This is going to seem like a lot but it is worth it for me to get a better rested sleep and for my partner to be able to sleep as well. It feels good not being woken up a couple times a night bc of epic snoring. Hahah I do record myself on snore lab so this is what I found to be the most of effective with barely any snoring. I use Nasal spray and take non drowsy allergy meds. I have been using nasal strips with this dilator just bc of my stuffy nose issue but I think for the most part that wouldn't be necessary. I also use mouth tap that is shaped in an X. I found that also stays on my mouth better with the dilators. Not sure if it's related. I have a big “C” shaped pillow that is meant to be a pregnancy pillow but it cradles me and really helps me to stay in my side. I prop the top of that up on a wedge pillow for elevation. In addition to all of that, I wear the snore circle pro 6.0 earpiece that vibrates when you snore. It doesn't wake me up but it's enough to stimulate me to get me to stop if I start snoring. None of these worked by themselves. I have tried so many combinations and this seems to be working the best so far!! I cannot use a snore mouth piece because I wear aligners for my teeth at night. Hopes this helps someone!!
