Airo Portable Air Conditioner 8000 BTU (5000 BTU DOE), Standing AC Unit with DIY Window Kit

I ordered this air conditioner and got it within 3 days. I would highly recommend this one to anyone looking for a portable air conditioner. It’s so quiet, and it cools my bedroom within minutes. I looked at others that were a lot more money and this one is by far the better option. My previous air conditioner was several hundred dollars more, so I was excited to see it had the same BTUs and square Ft. coverage for a lot less money. It’s by far a better value.

Very sleek looking and super easy to install. The window panels were a bit odd to put in but whatever. The unit is surprisingly light as well. We haven't tried the remote yet but so far it's been great and cools the entire upstairs of our apartment by itself.

Needs more (and better) insulation to seal the edges, but it was not expensive to buy my own. It's quiet, and definitely cools the area. Could use a longer vent hose as I have only one location to put the unit and I'd like it to be more in the center of the room. I'd buy it again and would recommend it.

This works well I bought as a hold over since our ac broke, and is beyong repairing. It has been great keeping tempts down in the arizona heat over triple digit tempts here. Our place is over 1200 sq ft so it cools half the house but still very noticable keeping the home cool. definately reccomend. Only problem we have is the DIY kit was too big for most of our windows lucikiy we had a large window. However the lip of the window seal goes over the hole you attach the exhaust pipe so we had to prop it up a bit to elevate it to fit properly. Other the ln that having it at 67 degrees F on full fan speed we have to empty our bucket of water it builds up every 4 to 6 hours due to the sukmer humity.

Does produce a lot of water. Needs to be drained every other day. Otherwise a strong unit that was easy to install. Using to help my senior parent through the heat.

This is a nice alternative to a window air conditioner. The cooling power is not quite there but it made the room more comfortable in the most humid of days.

It removes a lot of humidity but at the cost of noise. Both condenser %26 evaporator motors are separate while you can control evap motor speed, condenser no. The install plates that go in the window aren't insulated %26 1 piece slides into the other making the inter shorter which makes it harder to seal. Not enough included materials included to have a proper install. After install %26 running several hours (about 2.25) it filled a 2.5 gallon container of condensate. I noticed after all this the energy label on the box which I couldn't find before purchase. It says 6.6ceer which it absurd, nothing these days should be less than 12ceer. So i'll be returning due to energy cost, noise %26 subpar and not enough window install materials.

it gets a 1 star because i never got to actually use it. i opened it and parts were missing and too many of the same part that shouldnt have been in the box. The manufacturing company that boxes the product should be really paying more attention at what theyre doing

Did not receive the vent slider to put the vent in the window. Can’t get in touch with customer support and their support email isn’t great.
