It's real wood and extremely simple to but together. I would have liked just a little more reinforcement for the chicken wire but that's the only flaw and it's not really a flaw it just gives a bit. With this being a bunny hatch typically their water and food containers are hung on the side and since the chicken wire is not that tight it definitely gives a little bit and makes it to where their water spills, but other than that 5 stars. It's just as shown. Took me 20 minutes to put together with no help and my bunnies love it. They can move around and actually get minimal exercise even when in their hutch. Both of the 1st and 2nd level have pull out trays. I put bedding in the top so they would use the bathroom up there and left the bottom for food and sleeping and that's just what they did! Awesome purchase for the price point.
As other reviews have said, this cage is pretty flimsy and the wood feels cheap. Definitely not worth paying the full price, I would wait until it goes on sale, and even then it's still too expensive for how it's made. Some parts of the cage also arrived with scrapes in the wood and a weird stain on the roof. If I'm going to spend a lot of money on a cage I would prefer it arrive undamaged. All this said, my rabbit does really like this cage. It gives her more room to play and everything is easy to clean. But beware, if your rabbit is a chewer they will chew on the wood.
Smells of chemicals, and there's fiberglass on it upon arrival. I had to wash it all down before I assembled it. My bunny, like all bunnies, likes chewing on wood. This thing has a lot of little edges that she eats down to the screws. I have to cover them with duct tape that she eats through and it's very unfortunate. This cage will not hold up much longer due to this. Very upsetting that the designers did not think about this when making a RABBIT hutch. SMH!
Very cheap material. I would have paid $60 not 180
Item arrived broken, emailed same day it arrived. They offered a partial refund and a replacement part. The new part arrived broken never received the partial refund. Contacted them they were angry because I was not satisfied with the broken part and they refused to replace it. :( I tried to work with them and Walmart does not step in and assist they are difficult to contact as well.
its very small for a rabbit
The product came broken. Had to ship it back. The wood is so cheap.
