What an incredible piece of hardware and a must have for anyone using Fruit Loops Studio. I'm new to the software and the Akai Fire has sped up the learning curve exponentially! The lights are amazing to look at as well and the pads, while on the small side, have a great feel to them. Setup was literally 1 min (basically plug and play). If I could give it 10 stars I would. You can connect up to 4 units!!! I'll be adding one at a time until I max them out at 4. It really makes that much of a difference for your workflow and takes maybe half your mouse %26 keyboard clicks/scrolling away. Akai has done it again from the legendary company that brought you the MPC (the same machines that Dr. Dre has used). Cool tip: hold ALT and turn the VOLUME knob left or right to lower or raise the brightness. For setup, go to OPTIONS, MIDI SETTINGS. Click on FL Studio Fire in the both Input and Output and set both Ports to match (235 is a common option). In Output click Send Master Sync. In Input click Enable and for the Controller Type select Akai FL Studio Fire.

not new refurbished. notice seal was over old seal. a new serial was on top another. tried to register said number does not exist. had to call akai and had to show I bought it. so so glad I live by the walmart home office and have have friends that work for walmart.com
