A lttle bit of a learning curve. Documentation is somewhat confusing, I.e. switches in documentation refer to buttons on keyboard, but buttons are not mentioned anywhere in documentation. After a few misses was able to program a present to access my midi module.

MIDI Keyboard Controller Akai Professional MPK225
Works well and a good price to match. learning how to make music and this Akai MPK225 is a good way to start. German made and worked with iPad. would recommend for any studio artist or DJ beginners. bought a case on Amazon for 30 bucks

Great midi keyboard with great features. Comes bundled with some good software for beginners. Price at Walmart was lower than anyone else (Amazon, Guitar Center, Sweetwater etc).
