AKG K240MKII Headphone

Purchased these a week ago to replace a pair of other headphones that had come to the end of their useful life. I owned the original model way back in the 1980s and thought that the new MK-II model would be worth a try. Compared to what these replace, the bass seemed rather too full, but I listened to some old recordings by Grace Jones and Robert Palmer and Steely Dan, to be sure that all was okay. Very surprised and impressed with the level of accessories that these phones come with: Spare lead and ear cushions, along with the 1/4" adapter. Also appreciate the light weight and the comfortable feel. An insignificant amount of acoustical leakage from the semi-closed design.

Great. Bought them years ago, still got them. I like AKG, they're the best. Good sound, clean, good product reliability. Comfy. They look nice.

I have been using my then new K 240, for numerous years. Mine were made in Austria and since, moved operation to US. I am still enjoying my K 240's, having clear and distinct sound presentation. These headphones are very Neutral to my ears and can listen for hours, whether CD, Mp3[Streaming Music]. I highly recommend the K-240.

I bought them as a birthday present for my dad and he loves them he was so happy. He has tinnitus so he needs good quality sound to treat that. bought this pair a while ago and the sound amazing for the price. if you are looking at buying a pair though, most things on this site is cheaper elsewhere. keep an eye for sales on here as well. also, the 55ohms run well plugged straight into my pc or phone!

I bought these headphones back in April of 2014 from Sweetwater. After 3 years of use they're still going strong. I can happily say that I have had no issues with these what-so-ever. My favorite thing about these headphones is how comfortable they are. While I am not a musical professional, I spend every day at the PC working on programming and tech-art while listening to music and communicating with co-workers. They're lightweight and semi-open ear which allows me to feel almost as if I'm not wearing headphones at all. This allows me to remain aware of my work environment while enjoying high quality sound. I've been using the k240 as my daily driver for a while now, from gaming to video media and music. All i have is praise for the k240s. It has a great fit that doesn't bother my rather big and sensitive ears at all, I'm talking a 7 hour gaming session and forgetting I have them on. The sound is fantastic the semi open back cups give the highs Crystal clarity and provides lows with a unique timbre I hadn't been exposed to prior. If you're iffy about purchasing these due to It's low price tag which can be associated with bad quality, Don't be! I can assure you, you will be happy with your purchase.

I cannot speak highly enough of these headphones. The fidelity and clarity is absolutely incredible. I love the fact that they come with two detachable leads as well as replaceable ear cups. I personally use the suede and I find them to be the most comfortable units on the market today. GREAT value for money 5 stars

I wanted reasonably priced headphones to use in my project studio. I wanted something to give me a sound similar to my JBL near field monitors and the 240 mkii phones work nicely!

I have been using AKG headphones for over 30 years, and still have my first pair of 240 Monitors in service. Unfortunately, The last two pairs purchased a 240 MKii Studio, and a set of 271s, both broke at the plastic block where the bolt captures the ear cup. The plastic compound is now very brittle, unlike the old material, and the size of the block is far smaller in dimension.
