Fantastic sound, great feel.

Castrol September 27, 2016

I bought these a few days ago after being disappointed with a pair of Bose QC35s. The shop I used (Superfi in Nottingham) suggested the AKGs and offered me a trial. Immediately they felt and sounded great. The headphones themselves feel so well engineered and the sound is fantastic, noise cancellation was really effective (used them for real on a train journey to London this week) and all capped off with a rechargeable battery. I was initially put off by the on ear format but have no concerns at all now with the performance they deliver.

Compact Comfortable Stylish and a Great Sound

Djdeej August 28, 2018

Freebie with new phone purchase. Previously owned Bose QC25. These compare favourably and I must say I prefer the sound of the AKG cans. Very comfortable and lightweight. Noise reduction good but obviously not as good as over ear headset. Bluetooth is a good move up from corded. Would definitely recommend.

Compact, great sounding headphones

iamnotarobot June 19, 2018

It was the obvious choice for AKG to make the n60 wireless. Beenn looking for a quality set of headphones for some time now that aren't over ear and therefore cumbersome to wear when outdoors. Owned for 6 months and no signs of wear. AKG have a really great package on offer here - a small, foldable great quality sounding pair of headphones, with noise cancelling on top. They take seconds to unfold and connect to your device over Bluetooth. The sound quality and noise cancelling is fantastic using bluetooth - especially if you have an aptx compatible device. Of course noise cancelling has its limitations with on ear cans, on this device for example in windy conditions, but these are the best in this category and cancel most noises very well, even speech. Mic quality is good too, with phone conversations being heard clearly on the other end. I just wish AGK could have implemented compatibility with voice commands through android and iPhone as it's a bit of a pain having to get your phone out to make a call through them. Just a button to hold down to activate this would have been good. Battery life is great, lasting forever it seems through bluetooth and noise cancelling. If you do run out there is always the option to use the wired lead which gives you the best sound quality and eliminates the very slight hiss / buzz you get when Bluetooth is connected but nothing is playing, barely noticeable though. Bluetooth and noise cancelling work together (you can't turn NC off), wired with NC, or wired without NC. It would have been good if they had made a way to turn on and off noise cancellation, so you can choose how you want it over Bluetooth, but this is a minor complaint. In summery, as expected with AKG, a great set of headphones that are compact, comfortable for hours on end, great clear sound quality with a very wide frequency range, good battery life and top notch noise cancelling abilities. 100% recommended.

Perfect travel headphones

Coyley May 30, 2017

I am a user of AKG noise cancelling headphones from the 490 through the original non Bluetooth N60NC and welcomed this wireless version as the next step. I have used AKG NG headphones in global travel on planes, trains and noisy environments. They sound perfect, have robust construction, a better pouch than N60NC and most importantly the Bluetooth works properly. The construction is a step up from the previous version as is the fit. All was good before but these are a delight. The controls are worth checking into as they are slightly different from earlier version but after a few minutes I was using them intuitively. I use these mostly in wired mode but when I do switch to Bluetooth all is great.

NIce headphones, but poor headband padding.

sab17 April 13, 2017

I bought these a month ago, and am really happy wih the sound, noise cancelling and earpad padding. However, I feel really let down by the over head padding. I wear these for up to 8 hours a day, and the narrow, padless headband exerts a lot of pressure despite the lightness of the headphones. This was particularly surprising considering other AKG models that do a good job with this. A wider headband and padding would make these headphones perfect. If anyone has a good suggestion to modify, let me know!

Sound great, look great, hinges terrible

Akass July 19, 2017

Got given these as a gift about 6 months ago, and whilst they sound great and the noise cancellation was great, was hugely disappointed that within this time the hinge on one of the ear pieces has broken, rendering them useless. This happened when simply unfolding them out of their pouch - a standard repetitive movement which has clearly not been stress tested for. Great headphones, 0 durability.

Great sound, poor build quality

Damian January 4, 2018

Great sound quality let down by a weak design and poor quality moulded plastic. My set have snapped twice. The first area you can see a blob on epoxy that did the trick, only for them to break a couple of months later at the small ninety degree pivot. When examining the first snap point I found an air bubble inclusion manufacture error which meant less plastic making it weaker. The second break can't be replaced or fixed with epoxy without restricting the movement of the ear piece. As a mechanical engineer, it's very easy to see that these crucial points have not bee designed to take the strain of normal use. Please make the joint stronger!

Disappointed by build quality

AdrianPlacinta August 14, 2017

Hello, I bought last year a pair of N60 NC. I loved the sound quality, all my reviews for my friends were 10+. Also they bought the same model. But only after 18 months, i was surprised to see that the build quality is very poor. I also have a pair og K912 attached to my tv and those, after 6 years are super ok, but these, after 18 months broke. I took care of them, i kept them only in the case. Can you tell me how i can fix them? Thank you.
