The Only In-Ear Headphones You Will Need!

T3chZombi3 November 12, 2018

Wow, I didn't think it was possible to have such high quality earbuds using bluetooth technology but AKG has done the impossible and raised the bar with the Y100 wireless in-ear headphones. Everything from the packaging to the build quality of the headphones just speaks of quality. The Y100 headphones are very unobtrusive with how they are designed since there is no large neck piece and are barely noticeable when you have them on, on more than one occasion I forgot I had them on. AKG made the Y100s very durable as I have fallen asleep with them and not once have they shown any sign of wear and tear. The Y100 headphones have multi-point technology which allow you to connect and switch seamlessly to two devices with Bluetooth at the same time. Another must have feature is the Ambient Aware Technology that activates with a touch of a button. Ambient Aware Technology allows you to hear your surroundings while still listening to your music, this feature alone makes the Y100 headphones worth their price as this feature is so helpful when out for a walk or anytime you don't want to stop your listening. The Y100 headphones battery is good for up to 8 hours of battery life and also includes speed charge, allowing you to charge the headphones for 15 minutes and gain 1 hour of playtime. Studio Sound quality with just the right amount of bass make the AKG Y100 Wireless in-ear headphones the most impressive pair of in ear headphones on the market. Comfortable In-Ear Headphones

AngelaH2132 December 6, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These wireless in-ear headphones are perfect for someone who appreciates great quality sound. These fit comfortably in your ears and the sound is very clear. I listened to music and audiobooks and I was so pleased with the sound output of the AKG Y 100. The ear buds fits comfortably around my neck without discomfort and includes a nice carrying pouch for storage. Folds compact so it can be carried in your purse or gym bag.

Amazing!!!

3dge December 10, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the Y100, I was blown away! The sound, the fit, the look! I've tried quite a few earbuds and unlike those, the Y100 is a definite keeper. The fit is snug with no gaps and most importantly during use it does not become bothersome overtime. The sound is crisp, clear and along with the ambient noise feature you get a great listening experience. I personally use them when i'm on the go (walking, exercising, grocery shopping). As far as the look goes I was bit thrown off by the around the neck portion but I must say it is comfortable and I almost never notice it. My favorite feature would be the ambient awarenesses. This feature, when on, blocks out all if not just about every sound around you so you can enjoy what you're listening to. The opposite happens when it's off, the music seems substantially lower but it is so that you are also aware of your surroundings as you jam to your sweet tunes. I find it to be an amazing feature and adds to the reason as to why I enjoy my Y100s.

Great sound.. Not for running/sports..

GeckoICT1 November 2, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the Y100's are a great product that I'm reviewing as an Insider with one big disclaimer that they're not made for any type of sports or running activities. Very easy to setup and the sound is great. The ease of accessing google assistant and getting my text by voice, etc worked like a charm as well. The longer battery life is nice but it comes at the expense of fairly heavy neck piece. This leads to big problems if you do any type of activity like power walking, running, sports, etc because the neck piece constantly bounces and is really annoying (and somewhat painful). So in summary, I'd buy them if I had a need for just a pair of headphones to use at work or in front of the computer but definitely would not order them if you plan to do any sporting at all with them.

Great sound, bad fit.

Anonymous May 30, 2019

I know this is quite a unique complaint but one none the less. The sound quality was really good for these ear phones whilst they were actually in my ears, I tried all the different sizes and also bought some other things to help and keep these things in my ears but they just kept on pretty much falling out of my ears.

Not that great/Expected better

CoolCotton October 27, 2019

The earphones are not a snug fit and a major hassle to get the different silicone ear bits on, as well as a very odd choice in general shape of the earphones.

Terrible audio

Matt8807 January 19, 2021

Audio is so tinny that you just don't want to listen to music at all. I feel these are a step backwards compared to the wired 3.5mm jack version back from a few years ago. They sounded so much better. I would not recommend these to anyone. You hear the wire rubbing against clothing or tapping against you when you walk which is annoying. Nothing you can do to get rid of the tinny sound of audio. Even tried custom equaliser settings. I've not tried calls as I only use earphones for listening to music when out and about. Design wise, they're ok, but they need to do something about the wire issue. If I can find wired USB C ones, I may just buy some of those.

Not reliable product or Just bad luck

JustYes January 31, 2019

I bought this last week and not happy. The sound cuts out almost every song or few times per song(Notice, I am using Samsung Note 9 running android pie for testing this headphones). The same songs that I tested on another Bluetooth headphone without any problem. Hopefully this is only the bad one from a batch of all the good ones. Therefore, I am going to Samsung store this weekend hopefully I can swap for another one. I read the reviews from Samsung US web site. One or two persons mentioned this issue. I reserve not to answer the question about "recommend this product to a friend". I still hope that this is only me that am unlucky one. Because of this issue I gave 1 star for the performance otherwise it will be 5 stars.

Avoid These Headphones!

PRam590 March 20, 2019

Bought these in late December (2018) and received them in January. This model is the worst set of headphones I have ever bought for the price. They are very poorly designed and they're not suitable at all for light workouts. I used them infrequently because the length of the cable make them prone to falling out of your ears. Worst of all the right headphone has gone silent. I expected much better from these considering my previous Samsung products have been reliable.
