Aladdin Connect® Smartphone Enabled Garage Door Controller (Retrofit-Kit) - Universal works with most major brand garage door openers

Great product – managed to install in a few hours, Wi-Fi is very robust, and the door sensor pairing was straight forward too. I followed the installation video and somehow got lost after the registration step – so I missed the Wi-Fi configuration 1st time through. But found the alternate web page route in the FAQ (maybe that needs more exposure), also took me a while to discover the Wi-Fi button on the device. I did contact the support site once to get guidance on the correct connections to my 2024 opener units – quick response and good advice. I did subsequently break a few fingernails enabling the wiring connections! Overall, a worthwhile investment – now our skis, bikes and kayaks are less subject to an accidently open garage door event.

This kit had all the hardware needed to mount and deploy the system. The instructions were very straight forward and were supplemented by installation videos for every step. Setup of the software along with pairing the Aladdin Connect module with the position sensor went very smoothly. I do wish that the software allowed for geofencing, but from what I have learned, it is possible to do so with a Smartthings hub, which I am looking into. A much better system than MyQ, which charges for everthing.

Must follow instructions! Once I followed instructions and did the setup next to my modem then move to the garage for final steps it made connecting very easy!

This product works just as described and helps me make sure my house is protected even if I'm not at home. I can make sure the kids didn't forget to close the garage door or close it if they didn't. It's so handy.

instructions clear. Install was easy. Worked first time and every time. I am very satisfied with the product. I recommend this as an economical door opener upgrade!

Not sure why I waited so long to install this. It was much easier to install than expected. Works great. Instructions say it only works on 2.4g, not the case, it works on 5g Wi-Fi. I am very pleased.

I installed the control box on one of the garage door track supports near the ceiling so it would be as close as possible to the sensors. I connected the box to the openers by running wires directly to them. My Wi Fi signal is already good so I didn't have to move the router or reconfigure the network. I think that's one of the keys to stuff like this is to make sure you have a good network first before you try to add a bunch of smart stuff to it.

After pairing the wifi enabled door controller with the door position sensor, i was able to open the garage door with the Aladdin app on my phone. But for some reason the door controller and door position sensor become unpaired, and I am unable to close the door through the app. I was able to pair the units again, and open the door using the app, but again it lost the pairing and i am unable to close the door using the app.

I bought it online and it seemed easy enough to install. I followed all instructions and called the help line... after 15 mins of conversation they sent me a new unit. I installed that one and it still doesn't connect. I'm in the midst of returning it.

Item serial number has already been used so this is a useless piece of plastic. Also a really bad design as it should be able to just replace your existing pad and run on batteries. Overpriced and didnt work at all.
