Alden Design 10 Foot Offset Cantilever Patio Umbrella with Crank, Tan

I got this patio umbrella for my wife, and she loves it. You just have to be smart, because it is plastic and can easily break. So I use a good amount of weight on the base when it's in use, and I reel the umbrella back in when it's not in use. These aren't designed for heavy wind, so be smart and you won't get your feelings hurt.

I don't expect to get more than one season from this but thats not the fault of the umbrella. I live in an area where I catch so much wind that I only get one season of use no matter what price I pay. The quality of this product seems as good as others that Ive paid twice as much for. So Im very happy with my purchase and it looks really nice on the deck......where its anchored with bolts. No regrets thus far.

This is my very first time purchasing an outdoor umbrella. I must say that I'm very happy with my purchase. The material is strong and feels durable. It got quite windy outside with some rain coming down earlier today and it held up pretty good.I don't have my furniture yet fir my back yard but I will use it mainly to cover my new furniture. This is why I bought it. I enjoy hosting parties so I can't wait. The color is also so pretty . I added a picture to of the sun shining above it. The set up was easy for me so anyone can do it.

Wow! I really like this umbrella! Very easy to put together. There were some screws and some washers and it came with a little wrench! The stand is big, but for the weight of the umbrella, you will need to put something on it to make it not fall over. I had a large 20 inch pot filled with dirt that I put on one of the legs and it held it great. There is also holes where you could drill down into your patio if desired. We will want to move it around so we didn't want it permanently attached down. The umbrella snaps to the pole and once you put the main pole onto the stand, you are ready to go! Make sure you look at the directions to know about the tiny piece that locks it in place. No words in the directions, so just take your time to make sure you understand how it goes up and down. Not a problem, really. The color we chose was navy blue. Very nice striking color and rich. We opened it up for Memorial weekend and it is LARGE!! Wow!! Very impressive!! Shaded us and created a great atmosphere to enjoy our day under! A !!

Purchased this for small outdoor area - it sets up very easily and also stores very well and doesn't take up too much space. It is large enough to share 2 chairs and sturdy enough to stay up in a light breeze. The blue color is very pretty and adds a pop of color to my tan chairs. The umbrella was delivered very quickly and just in time for a spring warm up. I am considering purchasing another to have a matching set!

Fairly happy with this umbrella, it does it's job and seems reliable but it came with threads hanging out all over it and the umbrella itself does not stand flat. It has a slight tilt to it and also spins around. The one I received was a Yaheetech brand, not SmileMart as advertised but I'm not sure that even matters, lol. It also will not stand on its own once opened up, so you must have a base or drill it into your deck.. Nice umbrella for the price, just hoping it withstands the rain and wind.

My first purchase of this kind of umbrella. Easy to assemble with instructions included but there is a trick to opening it which could have been explained better; the user manual which is suppose to be available on line is not in fact the website listed in the instructions doesn't open at all; the umbrella shade wobbles more than expected in light wind; and the handle to open and close the umbrella is over six feet high once the umbrella is extended out over the sitting area. No one can possibly reach it without having a short step stool. Terrible design. Thought the user manual might explain a different set up, but no available.

cheaply made and not worth the money. The plastic brackets meant to hold the umbrella in place are not thick enough or sturdy, broke from the weight of the umbrella. The metal base is not wide enough or heavy enough to support the weight of the umbrella, it tips over.

Although it was a fantastic price for such a large umbrella it did have its draw backs. It definitely needs to be weighed down. I bought 2 bags of play sand to lay on the base. Also the umbrella tends to spin and shade where ever it wants to. It is very large though and looks great.

Umbrella broke immediately the first time I tried to open it. All the couplings and cranks and important bits are made of PLASTIC. I live in a hot desert, the plastic was soft and malleable, and split immediately. The handle (also plastic) fell apart in my hands as I turned it to open the umbrella on the first and only time. This is not a durable product by any means.
