For the price paid, it is an excellent cage and should last for as long as needed. The assembly is especially easy, and if a customer does not know how to assembly something as easy as this - as a majority of the cage is preassembled - then that individual is mechanically challenged. Could more information be provided in the assembly instructions? Yes. Is more information needed? No. Intuitive understanding should be adequate. I bought two - the second after purchasing and evaluating the first cage. I agree with a previous reviewer that using tie-wears where you deem appropriate is a great idea and will reinforce the stability and soundness of the product. Plastic tie-wires are all that you might consider if wanting to apply them, and you can buy a little bag of small ones for about $1.00 after tax. If you have cats, which I do, the cage will comfortably accommodate 2 small kittens. If you have kittens that are about 1 year old and maybe in the 6-10 pound range, then it's better to use the cage for only one cat. I don't care about the pictures that are provided to entice you to buy a cage for "two happy cats" - when the kittens get a little bigger one cat is all you need to put in the cage. If you have female kittens, the cage is great to put them in when you want to put them outside during the warmer months when you are not able to let the cat freely come and go in the yard... or where ever. New female kittens can become pregnant as early as 8 or 9 months, so the cage can be a good option for outdoors until and if you decide to have your pet(s) spayed. It is a well constructed and sound product - don't let negative reviews dissuade you. If you are slow and deliberate like me, it can take anywhere from 20-40 minutes to assemble the cage. Adding the tie-wires may extend your time to about an hour. The first cage I bought, took me about 1 hour to assemble with tie wires. The second took only about 35 minutes. Hope the review helps!

This is a very nice cage. I recommend two people to assemble and to zip tie the shelves for extra safety. Overall it is comfortable for the momma cat and kittens we have in it. My cat has not tried the hammock but it seems sturdy.

My baby kittens Tiger and sweet pee love the cage. I put toys inside that they play with. They will take a ball in carry a ball in their mouth all the to the and drop it and take paws and knock the all the way down.

Keeps our kitties out of mischief at night.

Item easy to assemble, used plastic ties to strength areas, of cage. Big enough for 3 kittens while they wait for vet exams and new homes.

Though this is listed as a cat cattio, I would say it's better suited for kittens. My 1 year old cat would not fit well into this. However, the 6 kittens that I am fostering love it. If you are a foster parent to rescue kittens, this is perfect. The kittens love the swing! They go up and down the ladders. One of the kittens did rip off one of the strings holding the hammock but it was a simple tie on repair and is back up. So - if you are looking for something to house kittens perfect. The unit arrived with two slightly bent sections that my husband was able to bend back into place. This has been a lifesaver for entertaining a group of 6 kittens who wil soon go to their forever homes! I am donating it to the rescue organization I am fostering for because this is, in my opinion, not large enough for a grown cat. Too small.

Hammock broke super cheap but other then that I like it for that price

The cage is very cheaply made, not the easiest to put together, the space on the ladder are way too far apart for a small animal. We zip tied card board on the back so they wouldn't fall through. I'm extremely unhappy with this, and don't recommend it.
