I was looking for a sustain pedal for a Yamaha keyboard that I bought at an estate sale. The Yamaha FC4A is the pedal specified for my keyboard but it is pricey if you can find one. There are quite a few knockoffs but most have poor reviews due to their lack of quality. I purchased this pedal based on the other reviews that I read. I have only used it a few times since I purchased it but it works as advertised. All I had to do is plug it in and it worked as expected. I am using it on a hardwood floor and the non slip rubber pad on the bottom works great to keep it from sliding around. This pedal does have a polarity switch on the bottom to be compatible with most keyboards. I did not need to change it because it was in the correct position to work for my keyboard.
The Alesis ASP-2 worked right out of the box. Holds or sustains a note and then fades gently .Rubber base to help keep it in place, and a polarity switch in the base to select 1 or 2 to comply with most pedals available. Worked first time with my "Y" electric piano (on 1).The Alesis ASP-2 is well made ,just plug it in and enjoy an added effect. An attached 6 foot cable for easy placement.
Perfect to receive this piano pedal for my Electronic keyboard since I am a musician and have many pianos but only one electronic keyboard which has no pedal so this was actually a plus. The pedal connected to the input perfectly and worked very well after I turned it on played a few songs using the pedal. No problem whatsoever. I highly recommend this pedal to any one who has an input for a sustain pedal in their electric or digital keyboard.
This piano pedal is used to get your rhythm correctly when playing piano. I used it to practice my piano skills at home and it works well with me. Do note that this is mainly used for the digital keyboard as the plug it comes with is designed for that. Since the sole of the pedal is rubber, it stays in one place very well and I had no issue with it moving when playing for extended period. The pedal is easy to push on and not hard, making it a good tool to use when playing piano. It works well during practice and when playing for my family enjoyment. Also, this pedal comes with a 1 year warranty so if there is any issue with it, it can easily be returned. Only downside is it's kind of heavy. Overall, I would give this piano pedal a 5/5 as it's a great tool to practice/play piano.
Glad I got this sustain pedal. We have a Yamaha keyboard and my daughter always complained that we can't sustain the notes played. This pedal is so easy to use - just plug in and go. The pedal works great and looks shiny. It has a little plastic cover that we can put on the pedal to keep it from getting scratched.
This Alesis ASP-2 Universal Piano-Style Sustain Pedal is top of the line as far as quality and company reputation goes. Heavy duty Pedal with a simplistically beautiful in design. It's a great addition to any comparable keyboard. Definitely Recommend
This is an excellent sustain pedal. It works on my old RadioShack keyboard. Would buy again.
Standard keyboard pedal with a quarter inch plug. 6 foot pedal. Designed for use with any electric keyboard that has a quarter inch jack for sustain. Underneath is a polarity plug.
As stated in the title of my review, this sustain pedal has a switch on the back that activates or turns off and on the sustain function of this pedal. (See pic; you will want to make sure the sustain function switch is turned to sustain if you need that function to work.) It works nicely as a sustain pedal. It moves while using, most likely because the floor is carpeted underneath. It as a rubber gripper so if the floor was smoother, it probably wouldn't move.
Doesn't slide around while you're playing, however I use it on carpet in the home studio. It has a bit of weight to it, it's not light. The rubber on the bottom keeps it from sliding. The overall look is modern and sleek with a good pedal shape. There is a protective cover for the pedal. I keep it on while using it. When pushing it down its a little tighter than I thought it would be. Still getting used to it but it's pretty realistic. There is no irritating snap or pop sound when you press it. It's quiet! Overall it's an improvement from than the one that came with my keyboard. It was easy to connect and not complicated, just plug and play. The cord was plenty long, 6 feet.
