Alesis Harmony 61 Pro Portable Keyboard

I have several Alesis products. As a former broadcast television engineer and a paid church audio engineer, I purchased Alesis products whenever possible. This keyboard is not a Korg, Nord, or Roland but for $100 it's a gem. Also the 61 key compact size is great for traveling to a gig or to a friend's house. The box arrived looking like it had been ran over and crushed by eight tiny reindeer, but alas, the keyboard was not damaged.

you cannot record , you can push a button and capture ,,,,,,,sounds coming out of keyboard . cant record , but this does tons of stuff. has great sound , and 1/4 out to amp. extra good drum sound key sounds

The keyboard is awesome. I ended up returning it only because it was larger than expected, and I needed something to travel with.

Pros: Lightweight, easily portable, good price, lots of fun sounds and features. It does have the ability for a sustain pedal (I bought one from Walmart.com). You can also purchase headphones to use with it. Cons: The sound occasionally has a vibration to it when the volume is louder which would be annoying if playing professionally. It's fine for what I need, a keyboard to play while camping when the spouse if playing video games at night. This would be a great, fun little keyboard for beginners or for those just wanting something lightweight for personal travel.

Needed a keyboard for a one-off weekend gig and didn't want to lug my studio gear and sound modules around, so I researched several models and landed on this Alesis Harmony 61 Pro at a very affordable clearance price. Some of its many sounds are surprisingly good, others are no more than what you'd expect from a keyboard in this price range. All I needed was a decent piano, and it's serviceable. This keyboard has lots of added features one might not expect, making it a good choice from simply noodling around on it to built-in recording capabilities. It would make a fine gift for any age. If I was to change anything about it, I'd add a standard MIDI output, but that's not what this keyboard is really for. My only actual complaint involves the delivery. The box it came in arrived majorly battered, complete with a huge tear that is likely the reason its power cable was missing from the package. Fortunately it was easy to research the cable and order a cheap replacement. I'll cut FedEx a little slack for taking two weeks to arrive because of the snowstorm at the time, but there's no reason the box should have been so mishandled.

Well made,many funtions,some cheezy instrument sounds,songs are old time useless unless your playing for 90 year olds at a VFW.Background tracks are pretty good.

Mine didn't include a power supply, and I ended up spending more just to get one. The only included "accessory" was the music stand to clip on the top. I dunno if it was just a lot that kept them out, or what, but the instruction manual says that it's included and it isn't. Three weeks into playing, a handful of the keys stopped making sound, and this isn't good. I haven't gigged with this yet, so I can't really speak to its live performance yet, but through the onboard speakers it sounds like you would expect.

!!DO NOT BUY!! I bought this for my sister for her birthday and when we got it O wanted to try it out. when i was playing with the keys it would shut off the piano. mind you I put fresh batteries in this thing. anytime you put ANY weight on the keyboard it just completely shuts off

Where is the rest of my order???? The description says: “The Harmony 61 MK3 includes every accessory that you need to get started and learn to play today. It comes with an easy-to-assemble stand, a bench with three adjustable height settings, headphones that automatically mute the speakers for private practice, a sustain pedal.” All I received was the keyboard, power supply and music holder.
