ALEX Discover My Busy Town Wooden Activity Cube

1 year old son loves this big cube. There are so many activities for him to explore and practice different motor skills. I doubt too young of babies would enjoy it but 9 definitely will. It's made from solid wood and put together so well. I'm so happy with it especially for the good price.

my 2 1/2 yr. old grandson absolutely loves this toy. I gave him this for his 2nd birthday. He loves playing with it and it keeps his attention and playing for hours. great birthday gift

We just got this today and both my 1 and 2 year olds love it. It is big enough for both of them to play with at one time on different sides or however they want to. All the pieces move easily and don't seem to have issues moving. It is well made and has great colors on it. This activity cube provides hours of fun for one child or even multiple children. I have nothing bad to say about this toy it is definitely worth it and your little ones will love it. I highly recommend this product.

The Alex Jr. My Busy Town wooden activity cube is an absolute hit! Last year we had two grandsons and have enjoyed finding quality toys that entertain and teach. This activity cube is very nicely constructed of solid wood and wood materials, making for a lasting play center that looks like it will hold up for many years to come. Great for a pre-school, office waiting room, or the home. The sides are 12 inches each in width, with a height of 11.75 inches, topped with what looks like maple. The extended height (including the curvy maze) is 17.5 inches. The top corners have been nicely smoothed down so there is reduced risk of children bopping their heads and getting hurt. We searched all over the system, trying to find any pinch points or places where little hands may get stuck. I'm glad to report there are no noticeable pinch points or sharp edges at all. Next, I tested everything by tugging and pulling and found that there are no small parts that could come off under even rough play conditions. The paint and finish seems very durable as well. Aside from the Curvy Maze Top... there are four activity sides, each presents a unique learning and play option. Peek-a-boo doors offer opportunities to play knock-knock and other games like "can you find the fireman?" Or... "where is the Doctor?" The mail man is here! I personally enjoy the alphabet turn and learn side... each letter of the alphabet is there, flip it over and a corresponding word/image is on the other side. Racing rollers is a fun exercise in gravity and gets lots of use. Spin and Match animal parts is also fun as you come up with unique names for animals that you really wouldn't find anywhere in real life. Lots of fun there.. "how many arms? are those antennas?" and so it goes. The block is heavy enough for your little one to use as a standing aid, on a carpeted surface, it doesn't scoot around at all. The bottom of the cube has no pads or protection, so it has the potential to scratch a wood floor or other smooth surface. More than one child can play at once and there is absolutely no setup time and no clean up necessary. Other than occasional wiping down of the entire cube as necessary. The wooden rainbow arch on top is strongly fixed and I even used it to pick up the entire system... very well secured. So, what is my final verdict on the "my busy town" wooden activity cube? I definitely would recommend it to anyone with toddlers and I personally think that children even younger than 12 months will find it interesting. Get one... it's the kind of thing that can be handed down over and over again... inside toy.

This toy has lots of things for little ones to play with - a ball maze on the top, and various activities including the alphabet, on each of the sides. My niece, who just turned one, loves this toy. She is particularly fascinated with the ball maze on the top although she also spends time with the various other sides. My three year old nephew also enjoys this toy. I like that this toy is fun for my kids but also has some educational value, particularly with the alphabet letters that turn to reveal a picture of something that starts with that letter. This toy is sturdy and should hold up to kid's play. However, I have one word of warning for parents of babies that are just pulling up. My niece has pulled up on this toy several times and one time she managed to pull it over on herself. It is a pretty heavy toy and this has only happened one time but I would make sure to supervise your child carefully with this toy if they are at this stage. Otherwise, this is a great toy and I highly recommend it!

Our baby absolutely LOVES this. A friend had one %26 it entertained her for the entire hour we were there while the bigger kids ran around. Bought one when we got home from the party %26 she still plays with it 6 months later. Docked a star for quality as some of the edges were not sanded properly creating sharp edges %26 the paint on the bead rails is chipping. Other than that good quality %26 great toy.

Quality is lacking with this activity cube. I do adore the bright colors and concept of this toy because my baby loves playing with it for a short period, but gets bored fast. One of the pieces already broke off the side and we have only had it since December.

I was not given a gift certificate and even though it was charged on a credit card, not a Walmart charge card I later had to cancel that card because of another fraudulent charge on it from someone else so when I call Walmart to tell them to try another card number it was never done. I'm owed a refund and I still don't have it. What recourse is there to obtain this? Thank you.

This item arrived in a heavily damaged box that had previously been opened and taped back up. The tape job was sloppy and the box was torn in several places. I contacted the seller THREE TIMES and never received a response. Walmart ended up giving me my money back. This was supposed to be a Christmas present. Terrible experience overall.
