Alex's Low Acid Organic Coffee - Fresh Ground Decaf (5lbs)

My mom had had stomach aches for 6 years; she finally figured out the connection with her morning coffee and her pain. I got her a bag of this coffee as a she was amazed: all of the sudden, she can enjoy her a.m. coffee again without pain! We're both big fans now.

I'm an avid coffee drinker until my doctor told me I needed to cut it out because it was causing GI stress. I am so glad I found this acid free coffee. It's smooth yet flavorful and I am so happy that I am able to drink coffee again. I took a few bags to my doctor and he's starting to recommend this brand to all his patients.

Love this coffee! I thought I would be giving up taste with an acid free decaf but this coffee is delicious. Very smooth, no bitterness. I use 1 TBL per 6 oz cup for a nice medium black coffee. I even make my own iced coffee by using 4 TBL for 3 cups water (fills my grande mug 3/4 full). I put it in the fridge overnight, add cream and fill to top with ice in the morning. Perfect! This coffee (and a fee other dietary changes) has enabled me to get off my omeprazole and get rid of my acid reflux. Happy stomach, happy taste buds!

I wanted decaf to drink in the evenings. Herbal tea often has added citric acid, and that kept me running to the bathroom at night. This takes care of the acid problem and allows me to drink something that won’t keep me belching all even and prevent my sleeping at night. We grind it and make the coffee in a French press with water at 201 degrees steeped for 4 min. I used to buy Great Value organic decaf, but my local store does not sell it. It is a good value even with shipping costs included! Win, win, win.

I ordered this because it is acid free, and it meets that requirement (I have Interstitial Cystitis). However, its seems to have a slight -- almost chemical --smell. However, I remember there were warning comments about this particular brand indicating possible exposure to chemicals.... Next time I may spend a little more and try a different brand.

I am really enjoying the Alex’s Decaf Acid-Free Organic coffee. It’s delicious! The other Acid free coffee I tried does not have anywhere near the taste of Alex’s, which I think tastes just like regular coffee. Excellent! Please don’t stop selling this. Thank you.

Taste good but a little weak maybe need a dark roast for more of a coffee taste . But was satisfying . I'm switching off caffeine for reflux reasons so I'm struggling with no caffeine. But all n all ii drank this with no side effects of reflux. Enjoyed taste just no kick of course. I may need a stronger taste to fool myself I'm having regular coffee. But the thought of a safe coffee n organic with no effects I'm pleased.

Normally coffee makes my tummy angry but I have not had that problem so far. I am reluctant to try more than one cup at a time because of that but I’m sure I will eventually. The coffee has a solid flavor and aroma without being bitter or odd tasting. Will definitely be buying again.

I am grateful for that fact that acid-free coffee even exists. I have had a cup a handful of times since my purchase. Due to severe acid reflux, I have still experienced discomfort while drinking the coffee. I will however, continue to drink the coffee and risk the side effects!
