I love how big it is , it is plastic but it holds a lot of rain water , I usually use a separate bucket to collect water than pour it in the barrel I love it and the little faucet is even better .
Algreen product was exactly as described , great instructions. All the parts and pieces were included. The plastic rain barrel might be a bit thinner than expected but we shall see. We need to water plants this summer and do not want to waste city water. So we are excited to use rain barrel to collect water
The price was the best that I could find anywhere. The item arrived fast and in good condition. The item is working well.
Color was somewhat different from on line picture but we know this can happen. I'm hoping the working process of the water saver does well when the rain comes in!
The item is delivered in the condition shown in the picture blow. I bought another already instead. But due to the rainy water and I didn't have the box anymore for return. If any chance I can still return it without the box? Thank you.
It looks nice and seems sturdy. It’s a very sturdy plastic that does look like terracotta. It will do the job, and I like the placement of the faucet. High enough to be handy and convenient to use. It comes with the spigot, which is metal, and a bottom drain apparatus, which is plastic, and thread tape inside the barrel. These have to be assembled after received. The top has a screwed on plastic screen. The top is not separate and doesn’t open up. In fact a dip in the top, called a ‘planter’ requires owner to drill drain holes to avoid water pooling and sitting there. The over flow ‘drains’ are at the very top on the side. Positive - the barrel will get completely full. And they could be used to connect more than one barrel. Negative - they come closed and the bottom must be drilled open for them to release overflow. We attached a section of flexible downspout by screwing it on. The bottom drain plug does have a flip to open and close to allow water to completely drain out, but the whole piece is plastic. It also has a threaded end to attach a garden hose. Over all, we are pleased, especially for the cost value. We have it hooked up and ready to go.
The color of this thing is truly awful - not true terracotta, not true to the image. unfortunately it makes the whole thing look clearly plastic and cheap. i have another of this item in dark brown and it looks great, but this one - absolutely not.
Doesn't really look like terracotta. Plastic barrels that leak when water fills up in them. Ours can with a crack in it
This thing is flesh colored. Like, pink, old chewing gum. Not the brown terracotta pictured. The texture looks…off. Like they tried to make a copy of something else with a silicone mold. See pictures.
Arrived in a damaged box, without the spigot. Weird ugly color--definitely not "terracotta" (more like "skin" color). Thin plastic, not sturdy. Returning it, greatly disappointed. (Can give thumbs up, though, for speed of delivery. Arrived way sooner than expected.
