Alien Romulus (Blu-ray + Digital Copy)

This not a review of the movie itself but a review of the craftsmanship of the Blu-Ray, the packaging, and the shipping. The disc and packaging was top notch. and the shipping was super quick. I ordered it in the morning and it was at my front door by that afternoon. As far as the movie itself, let me put it this way, The sole reason that I bought it was to make my collection more complete.

If you're a diehard Alien fan, you'll like this movie, too. It is the most recent release and many fans and critics consider it a "spinoff" of the original series. However, chronologically speaking, it is the fist in the Alien franchise timeline. Modern technology has made vast improvements since the original three movies: Alien (1979), Aliens (1986), and Alien 3 (1997). In this movie, you will truly appreciate the fast action sequences, the visual effects, and the DTS:X audio format. The Aliens in this film version were kept in line with the Aliens in the first three movies. The deviations can be attributed to genetic progression during the chronological span between the story's timeline years from this movie to the original three movies. Without intending to cause a spoiler alert, there is some profanity and an obtuse amount of blood and gore - caution is recommended for younger audiences, or those with squeamish tendencies. Overall, I personally enjoyed the watching the movie and I'm happy to add it to my collection. Now, if I had the two Predator movie crossovers, Alien vs. Predator (2004) and Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007), my Alien collection would be complete.

The DVD is as expected. One puts it in a DVD player and it plays. So the quality of this item does not apply. I gave the price a 4 star. In these hard times due to our incompetent democrat politicians in this state, folks are having a financial hard time. The price could be a bit less.

Really good that they went back to the main monsters The alien is the main theme once again! These -all of them are my favorite scary movies! This one won't disappoint full of action packed Aliens! Loved it! Even has some exact moments of the very first movie!

My collection of Alien is all most complete . for the time . One of the best Syfy ever. Don't miss out for the saving !

Saw this movie in the theaters and really loved it. Had to buy it for my collection. Very scary and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Great for any Alien fan. A must have for your collection.

Walmart is best place for immediate shipping and receiving. Their products are always perfect. It was a great movie and experience shopping with them, a great place when Amazon isn't best for what you want.

I purchased the movie for personal use and viewing. The first copy I purchased would not play on my Blue Ray player, and the only way we were able to view it was by way of the digital copy, using my wife's cell phone. The other day I returned the DVD to Wal Mart and exchanged it for another in an effort to view it on my player.

new direction for the franchise. if* on the next film. please write smarter characters. the mistakes the characters made in this one were absolutely foreseeable dumb moves. of course, these characters were not pro astronauts. just dumb young adults with few skill sets that made them, less than no match for the alien. I did enjoy %26 like the film. but now in my 60's. Intelligent characters make for a more wondering of, what's next vs oh no you're dying next. Bring back another Alien V Predator, we definitely need a new one of those. I'm waiting for Midthunders new Predator, thats a good direction %26 with Intelligent characters.
