Alison Krauss - Raising Sand - Music & Performance - CD

I've always liked Robert Plant in the rock group Led Zeppelin. I also like Allison Krause's easy listening Blue Grass sound. I really like the music those two made together - a very unique sound.

I am an avid AK fan and had never really listened to RP or Led Zeplin before. I had heard their version of Gone...on CMT and liked it enough to purchase the CD. I think music lovers of all shapes and tastes will be pleasantly surprised, I was. Worth a listen!

This cd is a perfect blend of two entirely different worlds of music.The talents,and styles of Rocker Robert Plant,and Bluegrass standout Allison Krause combine for a perfect blend of what could only be described as INOVATIVE.This 5 Grammy award winning piece of work is one that will command a place in the collection of evry music lover for years to come. This music is a glimps of two artists ,Male and female,Rock,and bluegrass ,simultaneously at the top of thier game.Without it ? Your collection remains incomplete!

This album is one of the best I've heard in a long time. Alison Krauss and Robert Plant's voices go so wonderfully good together. I am a fan of both Bluegrass and good ole' Led Zeppelin rock, so I really am enjoying this CD!

I bought this for my boyfriend for Valentines Day. He has been a long time fan of Robert Plant. And heard him express the desire for wanting this CD. I ordered it. It got here fast and the songs are great!!!!

When I received this CD I was in doubt but when I played it all my doubts left me. This is a great CD that I would recommend to anyone. Plant's vocals along with Krauss just blew me away! They did such a great job together and with T-Bone behind the scenes what more could one ask for? A must have for Plant's fans and a must have for the other side as well. Love to see them do something else again.!!!!!!

Two very talented and different type of people making great music in an out of ordinary way. Anything Allison Krause is involved with is usually brilliant and this is no exception.

I am a very big fan of both Robert Plant and Alison Krauss' work seperatly, but their album together is a different sound..and not necessarily for the better. Throughout the tracks there were such variation and use of different instruments that it seemed more like a soundtrack from a musical or a movie. Definitely wasn't their best work in my opinion.

It is a good CD, but it doesn't have all the songs from the CMT Crossroads program. One of which is Black Dog. I would like to see if there is ever going to be DVD of the program.

I love Alison Krauss, listen to her every day! However, this CD, I dislike. I tried to like it, but after listening to it 3 times, I can not. I guess it's to each their own. I don't know who Robert Plant is, however my husband is familiar with him and agrees with my opinion of this CD. I'm giving 2 stars because I really like Alison and can't bear to giver her only 1. I am not happy about paying 17.00 for a CD that I only listened to 3 times and then will be sending to the Thrift Store.
