All-Clad Stainless Steel Colander, 5 quart

The large 5 qt colander is terrific for washing fruits and vegetables. I made an apple cranberry pie, and needed to mix in the various sugars, and rather than reach for another large bowl, I decided to use the colander, and it worked great for that, too! Very handy! Just be creative!

This is exactly what I needed. I bought this to replace a plastic colander. It is perfect for straining extremely hot foods such as pasta. It is great for draining the fat from browned meat. And best of all, it is dishwasher safe. I love my All-Clad cookware.

Beautifully designed and constructed. When I removed it from the box I thought it might be too large for my needs. However, the first time I put it in the cabinet and used it, my concerns were erased. The design has height rather than a spread that would be bulky to store or fit in the sink. The footing is perfect and the draining complete. It is definitely sturdy without being heavy and hasn't tipped over or gotten wobbly during use. I especially like the handles, easy to grasp and maneuver.

Works great with my vegetables and pasta. Hard to tip and looks nice!

I've had my eye on the All-Clad 3-quart stainless steel colander for quite a while. I already had the larger 5 quart colander, but it was a bit too large for everyday use. I wanted the smaller one to replace an aging bright red enameled steel colander (imported from Poland) that has been bouncing around my kitchen for decades and has the chips and rust to prove it! The new All-Clad 3-quart colander is the perfect replacement. It is the same general size & diameter as my old red colander, and the stainless steel is so shiny. The new smaller colander fits perfectly in my kitchen sink, and its draining holes are just fine. I'm happy with this new friend and I hope the colander will enjoy its new home in my kitchen.

Far too small. The physical dimensions in the product details belie its actually petite size. The product itself is fine if you are looking for a very small collander. I will be returning it.
