when I was building an at home emergency kit I was planning for a post-surgery event. these come in multiple sizes and are essentially the same as used for any surgical post coverage. the idea was if bandage needed to be replaced, I could just get it done glad I have them even if didn't need they will come in handy for any emergency that may arise when a band aid won't handle the event.

To be honest I'm not sure how well they work because as long as it took to get them my wound was healed! Seem like good quality but I'm hoping to not have anymore knee replacements so I shouldn't ever have a need for something this large again so they're a waste of money for me. So I guess plan ahead and order early?

The pad is rough on a sensitive open wound
