I never got to meet the cow. I imagine his parents were good cows and I can’t vouch for his siblings but this cow tastes just fine. Walmart beef is pretty good in general so I can recommend it. Plenty of fat and tastes like a cow. I try and put some flavor in these silly reviews but at 4 AM I should be reviewing coffee.
For years I only bought 80/20 ground beef. The one time it was out of stock a short while back, I was sent 73 / 27. Skeptical yes, but I was just making burgers. The 73/27 makes a much, much juicier and more enjoyable hamburger! Last week, my meatloaf turned out better than it has in a long time. It's not a price thing, it's a flavor thing.
I love that this meat still has some fat in it versus the 80/20 crap that has been imposed at Kroger. also the fact that it's still served on a styrofoam tray makes it even better that because the tubes taste like the plastic it's wrapped in. keep up the good work!
My husband is on a low sodium diet, and fresh ground beef has fewer mgs of sodium. This fat content adds enough flavor, so that he doesn't need to add any salt. He's having hamburgers wrapped in lettuce, with tomatoes, onions, and a bit of mustard daily for his lunch. Since he's had this special blend from Walmart, he has insisted on it when we get our deliveries. It's always been very fresh.
Okay, it's 73/27 and it has fat and grease. Just have something to drain the grease into. It does have great flavor, along with a super price. Have you ever noticed it seems like 90/10 and 95/5 just doesn't have the flavor. 80/20 and 85/15 are flavorful without so much grease.
The cost of hamburger meat is ridiculous and completely unnecessary. Only greed is keeping basic necessities and food at such ridiculous prices. Walmart is one of the wealthiest companies in America because customers made them that way and in turn, Walmart is now making it nearly impossible for those average Americans to afford everyday expenses. How much money is enough so we can get back to a more sustainable life?
This ground beef is very tasty and tender. The one pound package is designed for convenience. The consistency is good for burgers, and breaks up easy for casseroles. It says that it’s only 27% fat and I believe that to be accurate. I have a Foreman and we made burgers with this hamburger meat and the fat that drained off was about that much. It’s great meat, and cost effective.
73% lean ground beef is an affordable option that works well for everyday meals like burgers, tacos, chili, and casseroles. It has a stronger beef flavor than leaner blends because of the higher fat content, which also helps keep dishes juicy. The downside is that it produces more grease when cooking, so it usually needs draining. It’s not the healthiest option, but it’s dependable and budget-friendly for feeding a family or cooking in bulk.
I was able to purchase almost everything I ordered with the exception of was not available and the other one has to be shipped to me which is a nice routine a lot of times they have to substitute things and I don't really care for that but what was the overall order was good driver was very pleasant and helped me I'm totally disabled and he helped me to get my bags all down just tears and get them into my apartment which is really a blessing for me because my spine is fractured I have a lot of problems right now with my spine so he was a very big blessing to me thank you
I hate that if they do not have my item(s) in stock, I have to re-order and either buy $35 to get free shipping or pay $6.99 for order(s) under $35. Not fair because there is always one or two items not in stock. That rule is stupid with a capital "S" Might have to go to Aldids
